Plumbing leak in 2015 38RL Island

Anyone had any experience with water leaks in the forward end of the island? I got the spice drawer out, but the leak source isn't obvious. It appears to be above the flex drain fitting, and may be an intermittent fine spray coming from the water supply.

we had a leak where the sink seals to the counter top near the faucet. We are having it fixed in service in a few days

We had a minor leak in the island that turned out to be the pex connector to the cold water line and the faucet. The fix was easy it just needed to be tightened up, I was able to do it by hand.

leak in icemaker water supply

The leak I posted was in the 1/4 inch plastic icemaker supply which is fed by a valve under the sink. Shut of the 1/4 turn valve and leak stopped. Now to fix!

Cause of leak:

the factory put a grommet between the end cabinet (spice drawer) and the sink base. At first I thought it was to prevent the tubes from rubbing against the plywood, but it appears to be purely cosmetic. They anchored the grommet with 20 staples, all of which protrude 1/2 inch into the cabinet where they can contact the plastic tubing. Bad idea. I believe all these tubes will eventually leak due to punctures from the staples. We are cutting the staples flush with the plywood. Why they used staples that were so long is a mystery to me.

We had the same problem. A small staple went through the plastic waterline that goes to the ice Mashine/refridgerator on the left side under the sink inside the island.

Hard to find the leak since the shower was excessively fine!

Very easy to fix however.

There is a shut off valve before up under the connections so just turn it off and turn the ice maker off until you have time to fix it.

Our first leak was the ice maker connection which we fixed by closing the valve and not using the icemaker.
the other is a little more of an issue, it's the sink drain lines that leak.
we've put a cookie sheet under it for now and limit use of the sink.

On the assembly line they use one size staple and one type of screw for everything. Apparently they don't give it much thought.

Good find! At least you had access and it wasn't a hidden hoseline.
