Hi, All,

Continuing with "The Adventures of Newbie in Redwoodland"...

SCENARIO: My shiny new Norcold starting beeping and displaying "dc LO" fault code for about eight hours. (Fortunately, the freeway noise drowned it out...I'm so lucky.)

QUESTION: Have other folks experienced this, and is this for sure a circuit board thing?

The Norcold manual interprets the Fault Code as:

"DC Voltage to the refrigerator control panel is too low. Check:
<UL>
<LI>That the battery charging equipment of the vehicle is operational.</LI>
<LI>That the AC/ DC converter is operational (if applicable)</LI>
<LI>See your dealer or Norcold authorized service center."</LI>[/list]

Thank you in advance for any comments you may have,

Robt.

My unit did this when I was hooked up to 30 amp and I was trying to use a "wish bone" adapter. Some how the 30 amp system doesn't charge the batteries. To fix this I ran a seperate power cord to the front of the coach and put a battery charger on the batteries.

Check you're battery voltage first. Check connections there also.
Pull the rear cover behind fridge and check D.C. Voltage there you may have a bad connection.
If you have at least 12.6 Volts or more it is not the voltage supply.
You need to use a good volt meter as some really cheap one are very inaccurate .
I have one of the first redwood around 100 made .
Have a DOMETIC fridge it failed on November 28 and a new one was installed on Monday
I used ice to keep the fridge cold for 3 weeks worked pretty good.
Good luck
