Ya, wouldn't that be cool if they made a tire we could actually use on the Redwood

Is anyone using Michelin tires on their rig, if so how do you like them?

Only have the 20" Michelin's on the truck,
but my camping buddies that are coming in day after tomorrow put them on their class a. will ask them and let you know...

I really think Michelin's rv focus is motorhomes, not towables...

I agree as I've never seen a Michelin on anything but a MH.

The XPS rib is only rated for 3,040 lbs, so pretty much worthless on 7K or 8K axles, unless you jump to their 17.5 in tires on new wheels.

I mistakenly put them on my truck. I've used Micheline tires for years but this last set was really hard to balance.

Guess I'll be sticking with the Goodyear G614's, I'm happy with ours so far.

Don't forget.............trailer tires have a maximum speed rating of 65 MPH.

I've been told that's not always the case hossier

True if the definition of trailer tires is ST tires, but not LT or others...

In fact, Goodyear website gives instruction about going up in pressure a bit if increasing speeds - let me find it an post it...

can't find it right now, but basically said go up 10% for each 10 mph (within reason !!!! )
not quite it, but:

johnboytoo........

It would be interesting to see what a full range of honest / true specifications from tire manufacturers would look like. I must correct my previous post in that the max speed rating on the Goodyear G614 tire is 75 MPH. I think it was Goodyear Marathon tire that the max speed rating was 65 MPH.

I personally have chosen to tow our RW 36RL in the speed range of 55 to 65 MPH depending on ambient air temps. The higher the temps the lower my speed. I have no desire to push the limits of these tires because I can't afford the consequences and I just don't need to get anyplace that quick.

Agree - our one blowout was on I-10 right around the Texas-Louisiana border on August 31 at about 10000 degrees and sunny !

There's lots of time where I run at 70/75 on the interstate. I have nitrogen in all my tires including the truck and love it. When I put it in the Redwood it came with a guarantee against blow outs it cost $68.00 but I felt it was worth it, the truck was free
