New disc brake safety option

Titan is introducing a split hydraulic system for disc brake users. Current systems totally fail when a single hydraulic line loses pressure. So, If a tire fails and takes out a brake line you have no brakes. The split system allows a single axle to maintain pressure in the event the other axle loses pressure.
This should be out by January, can be used with all disc brake systems and will sell for +/- $200.

Not sure exactly yet how it works but as I understand it, there will be some type of sensor that picks up a drop in hyd pressure and shuts off fluid traveling to the effected axle. There should be no pressure gain or loss. You will have a black box that your main hydraulic line enters. Then you will have 2 output lines that would go to each axle.

I'd assume they'd just utilize two primary lines from the pump and at some point include a couple of check valves. Its probably a pretty simple update, just has a couple of additional lines and slightly more fluid required.

Cars have them, (at least in the 70s and 80s ) and they were real simple. A block next to the master cylinder with the ouput of the master cylinder going in one end and a line for each axle out the bottom. Some had a rubber covered mechanical plunger was on top to reset. I spring loaded pin was held in place by equal pressure. If one or the other axles lost pressure, the pin would slam shut on that opening allowing the other to remain pressurized.

If you weren't careful when bleeding brakes, you would trip it and would have to reset it.

Yes, It will be a simple install. Biggest issue will be bleeding the brakes. Hopefully this will be out in January and I will have them at Quartzsite.
