While at the Rally, the factory showed us some new designs and modifications that they're working on. They aren't public yet so we can't discuss them but I will say that I was impressed. They said during the tour that they have around 3500 Redwoods on the street now. Apparently Redwood is starting the catch on with the end consumer.

Wonder what happened to the Carriage line up? I see they took the website down and discussion throughout the community is that product went on hold for awhile. Maybe we will see those items and design ideas trickel into the Redwood lineup instead...

Apparently, Redwood is going to put their time and energy into what's working for them.

I'm thinkin' "Carriage" brand is too much to place on their financial plate. I believe they fear the highend market at this time.

Do what you do well and stay with it Redwood.

Newmar dropped the highend fifth wheel brand and has concentrated on motorhomes. I'd like to see them purchase the "rights" to Carriage from Redwood.

I think they're smart in holding off for now. It's my understanding they can't hardly keep up as it is with the demand of Redwoods. I'd like to see them further the development of the Redwoods and improve them.

They are still working on Carriage but are not in a hurry to get started. They are going to take their time and get it right.

My thoughts on the Carriage ever since they announced that they may put that in there lineup was they would have to build a unit that was in the realm of the Carriage Royals International. This would be out of the price range of many full timers and would have a limited market. We traded in an 06 Carri-lite and I would put that in the same line as our Redwood. Maybe later they may use the Carriage name on a line, but right now, I think they are wise to hold off.

I hope Redwood dumps the idea of bringing Carriage back and instead incorporates what worked well in that product line into the Redwood line up. I've been full timing in my RW for 13 months now and overall still love my coach. Cant wait to see whats new for 2014...

We have the 2014.

I don't think the model year dictates the changes - they seem to happen throughout the year. You will find early 2013 and late 2013 with different window coverings, different furniture, and different decor even though they are the same year.Ours changed from a 2013 to a 2014 halfway through the build, so no changes by the year alone.

Hey Colonel, lets keep in touch this winter. We'll be in Sebring and will make it to the Tampa show, probably one of the earlier days. Maybe we can hookup with you and Sam for lunch or dinner if you're game.

How true that is. Redwood changes things at the drop of a hat. It's good......I guess?

We had the same thing from Keystone as well though. If you ordered one that was in production over the 3 week plant shutdown at Christmas, you never really knew what you were going to get until it got there. We had the first production run with flat screen TVs that never did show up on the order sheets until the following year.
