low drain points on a 38gk

I didn't bend down enough to get a pic of all the hoses coming out of the bottom, but wondering which hose drains what ? fresh water tank, hot water heater, etc...

Sorry for the terrible cellphone pic below of the hoses, but was just taking a pic of the leakage from the underbelly we get when breaking camp not the hoses...

IIRC, thee was a red, and two blue hoses ???

Should be one blue for the fresh water tank, one blue for cold water low point and one red for hot low point.

The only leakage I get is when I over fill the fresh water tank. You should have 4 water lines coming out from the bottom of you trailer:

#1 fresh water drain used for draining your water tank (a pex line)
#2 the over flow for when the fresh water tank is overfilled ( a white hose)
#3 A Red pex for the low point drain of the hot water (this should have a shut off )
#4 a Blue pex for the cold water low point (this should have a shut off)

I had a 5th, blue pex, which was a 2nd fresh water overflow, in addition to the 4 Dave described.
I have a 38GK

rarely use the fresh water tank so not overfilling - but now I know them and can selectively dewinterize when needed

Haven't looked yet but is there a shutoff valve for the fresh water tank low point hose somewhere ?

Rosey,

There was not on mine. I installed one on the blue plex line. The second vent pipe I relocated above the tanks top level to prevent siphoning.

Ken let me rephrase my question...... How would I drain the fresh water tank....is there a separate low point drain near the hot & cold low point drain pipes ?? Like an idiot forgot to ask on my PDI.

Rosey,
Yes, there is a drain line for the fresh water. It is separate from the hot and cold that are near the convenience center on mine. Should extend through the belly pan....by itself.

Actually there is 5
Lower under belly
#1- blue with shutoff value is your fresh water tank drain
#2- blue angle cut is you fresh water tank over flow and when tank get too full it ends up siphoning out 1/3 of a tank of water before it stops
Upper under belly
#3- blue your cold water low point drain valve
#4- white in between red & blue low point valves is your fresh water tank air intake
#5- red your hot water low point drain valve

When I fill my fresh water tank the overflow line has never worked. It would start leaking from the front of the underbelly. I have to watch my gauge and when it’s hits full I add another minute then shut the water off to keep it from coming out the underbelly..
Is there a check valve that sticks or is my over flow line busted? Looking for a fix if there is one..TIA

The overflow/vent line is run underneath, usually sticking through the underbelly slightly, but the issue is that once you've filled to that line in the tank it begins to siphon the water out. Most RVs that line is connected to the small screened spot next to the fresh water fill port, but RW thought it be less mess in the convenience center to run it underneath.

Don't ask me how, but us and a few others have had that drain the complete fresh water tank. So we've put a shut-off on that overflow line, you just have to make sure you open it when filling the take because you have to have some place for the air to escape and once full close it to avoid losing your water.
