When leaving camp, is it necessary to retract rear jacks before pressing left & right buttons to raise the front of the coach to hook up level? We were told by our dealer the first time not to raise them, but when it went back for warranty work, another service man said to raise them.

Thanks in advance for help.

I always raise them enough to get weight on the wheels, hook up and then hit the auto retract.

I raise mine rear jacks as well prior to raising the front for hook-up.

Tks. The first time we didn't & it seemed to put so much pressure on them. Then when we set up the second time the coach wouldn't level & we had to do manually & recalerbrate. We are breaking camp today to go home (30 minutes lol), then headed north (again 30 minutes away lol) for a few weeks.

Again thanks for the info!

My first time I accidentally used memory to raise the front legs to hook up without raising the rear, and it lifted the wheels and center jacks off the ground, which I'm sure wasn't good for it.

Now, before I hookup I always select retract and push rear until all 4 rear legs retract. I've never had to use the left or right buttons. In fact I've never pushed them. For those that do, I think the rear button is a shortcut to retract all 4.

The only time I've used the left and right is when I've had to tweek the leveling. Use the rear button to retract the back four.

I use mine all the time and it works great! Each one of the rear jacks have enough strength to lift the whole trailer so don't worry about raising the rear jacks before lifting the front. If you push both left and right arrow buttons at the same time it will return the coach to the height it was at before you pushed the auto level button. Once the truck is connected, simply push the auto retract button and the work is done.

I'm with Dave. The left and right combination for hook up works great. One of the features that I really like about the system.
