Hi, All,

I think some other folks mentioned this company...but it bears repeating.

I have been quite happy with the numerous 12V and 15V LED ceiling bulbs I have been buying from the folks below. Each time a halogen bulb burns out (every three months), I replace it with the LEDs...and no burn-outs yet.

http://www.filamentfree.com/

For me, the added cost is well worth the reduced frustration of ladder climbs to replace halogens. (..and no, I am not in cahoots with the company.)

Thanks!

Robt.

Myself, I prefer M4 Products' leds. They put out more lumens and are cheaper. I have replaced all the interior except the closet and most of the exterior including taillights with their bulbs and been well satisfied with their bulbs and service.

As I don't want to pull out a working halogen bulb, couldyou list the part numbers from M4?

Thanks.

Anyone considering upgrading to LED's should go to the M4 site and read all their information, FAQ's, and LED facts. Even if you don't by from them the information is very useful.

Here is what I ordered from M4.
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><t><tr><td style="padding:5px;font-size:12px;border-bottom:solid 1px #cacaca">G4 / T3 Retrofit LED Light in Warm White with Side Pins
Replaces 10w Halogen

<table style="font-family:Arial;font-size:11px"></table>

</td>
<td style="padding:5px;font-size:12px;border-bottom:solid 1px #cacaca" width="100">G4-12-5050-TYPE1-WW</td>
<td style="padding:5px;font-size:12px;border-bottom:solid 1px #cacaca" width="100">2</td>
<td style="padding:5px;font-size:12px;border-bottom:solid 1px #cacaca" width="150">$7.99 USD</td></tr></t></table>
These are the smaller ones, but fit perfectly and provide more than enough light.

No difference that I could tell between the halogens in there and the LEDs. No medical looking light.

Hi, All,

FYI...here are the two items I purchased (with links), to replace the small (12) and large (15) ceiling bulbs. These are brighter than the halogens and look to me to be the same color temperature asthe halogens (i.e., warm, not fluorescent blue). Also, when shipping multiple items, they refunded the extra shipping charges.

G4 12 LED (Halogen)
G4 10-30v DC 2.3w 12 LED SMD5050

180 Lumens Warm White
Item number G4 12 S

G4 15 LED (Halogen)

FINALLY - someone puts the links in instead of us having to look through 20 similar items to guess which ones will fit Thanks Mr Toad !!!

Now, for those of you that bought the M4 lights, really appreciate it if you could narrow it down to which ones are the correct replacements from the 20 or so choices they offer
the 10W:
1)
http://www.m4products.com/g4-t3-retr...s-10w-halogen/
or 2)
http://www.m4products.com/g4-t3-retr...s-10w-halogen/
or 3)
http://www.m4products.com/micro-g4-t...s-10w-halogen/
or 4)
http://www.m4products.com/micro-g4-t...s-10w-halogen/

or the 20w:
A)
http://www.m4products.com/large-g4-t3-retrofit-led-light-cool-bright-white-with-rear-pins-replaces-20w-halogen/
or B)
http://www.m4products.com/large-g4-t...s-20w-halogen/

or
???????????
http://www.m4products.com/cool-brigh...se-10-30-volt/

the large, or the micro, or the cool white, or the warm white or the ?!?!

feel like a mosquito cor-n-fuzed by the light !!!

You're right. Each time I hear people rave about their LEDs or their supplier, no part numbers given. Then, you go to their favorite site and there are a dozen potential models that are described as a replacement. So helpful to not have to "reinvent the wheel".

These are the bulbs I ordered from M4. There are two orders. First I ordered a few to see what they were like, and than ordered the rest to change all the interior, except the closet lights over to led's. We went with the cool bright. There are a few exterior ones also. The plate bulbs I got to replace the outside scare and door light. You will have to sort out what bulbs you need depending on RW model etc.

Very helpful... that takes the risk out of converting.

I actually like the halogens, but occasionally, when we dry camp, we knock down those Group 27s in two days and then have to run the Onan - especially embarassing down at the beach where you can hear a pin drop.

Everyone says that converting has made a big difference. I just dislike that white/blue color that many LEDs have. In fact, some people have bought the wrong ones and switched back.

If you want a LED color that is closer to the halogen you will want to get the warm white, it will be very close. You are correct the cool white is more blue in color and normally does not fit well in a residential setting.

I ordered for the 36RL. Like many things, it is preference. We prefer the cool white over the warm white.

We have a 2013 36RL. If you take my order and add 3 more G4-18's and 2 more G4-12's, you should have enough LEDs to change everything inside except closets, plus the porch and scare light. I under ordered originally simply due to miscounting. The ceiling lights match the originals very well in color and brightness. We like the warm white LEDs, but got cool white for the porch/scare for the extra brightness.

Customer service at M4 was great, and even gave me discount pricing on the small re-order. I would definitely recommend them.

38GK: As part of my project to improve the cooling system performance I just converted the entire coach to LED's. Hands down the best upgrade I ever made.
