King size bed

Can someone please tell methe measurements of the king size bed?

Can regular residential king size sheets be used?

We have a king bed and are using our king sheets from our king bed in our stick home. Our stick home king bed is a California king which is about 2 inches longer the bed in the Redwood.. I don't have actual Redwood king bed measurements with me but can take some measurements this weekend.

We use regular king sheets in our 36RL. The only difference we've found is that the mattress is not as deep as the one at home so it requires a little more tucking.

When I measured the bed it was approx 72" wide x 80" long. This is the same length as ourKing at home and about 2" narrower. The mattress in the coachis however much thinner than the mattress at home.

Has anyone moved their home king mattress into their Redwood? We are planning to bring our mattress on board and I am wondering if their were any "tricks" used to get it into the bedroom?

Rick my custom made mattress is 12 inches thick and it was hard getting it into the bedroom but you know it's not like you take it bake outside every six months

I took my "select comfort" bed and put it in the trailer and replaced it with a new one for my stick home. We didn't like the European system.

Just remember for full timers you should rotate your mattress just like tires to get the most use out if it. Flip it end for end or turn it 180 deg every 6 months or so.
I out weigh my wife by double and the mattress develops a "valley" where I sleep over time.

Now there is a great sport for us RV'ers. Mattress flipping. We've competed in that event a couple of times.

Get a sleep number bed and then you're both comfortable and no more flipping the mattress. Besides they weight a lot less too, so they're great for RV's.

We had put in theradius cornerking sleep number in our Montana to clear the vanity when the slide came in. We just moved it over to the RW and works out great because with the radius corners it gives a little more room around the corners of the bed.

What mattress can you usend on the 72x80 European box springs?

We used a standard king foam mattress when we got the redwood, same size as in the house and had it delivered there so they could put it in
The redwood mattress never came out of the plastic !
When we moved on from the redwood that mattress came into the house for our spare bedroom since the coach has a sleep number bed

yep, the king in the camper uses the same sheets as the king in the house. very convenient.
