Exclamation Just changed out the kitchen faucet in my RW36FB

Not as easy as we first thought, purchased a new faucet at Lowe's Home Improvement Store. Brought my shiny new faucet home turned off the water and retrieved my tools. Issue #1- the hose fittings were not the same size, so back to Lowe's to locate and purchase adapters 3/8 in OD x 1/2 in MIP (see picture). Issue #2 - removed old faucet, the hole in the counter top is too small to install new faucet, back to Lowe's again to purchase 1.5 inch drill bit to make the hole larger. The counter top cuts just fine, no issues with drilling the holes. Even added another hole for the dish shop (see picture). Hope this helps the next person that wants to replace their kitchen faucet with one purchased at a big box store.

A little tight, the interior shelf prohibits much moving around area. Once I had the correct fittings and the holes cut, it only took about 30 minutes to finish up. I read in a previous post to not remove the back of the island, so I did not want to even think of going there.

Replaced mine over a year ago, didn't have to drill any holes as there were already 2 & added the soap dispenser. The biggest PITA was working above the dishwasher as area is less than 12" tall.

Mine had two holes also but they were two different sizes, my new faucet required a larger hole than the one installed.
Are you residing in Texas now? I'm also a Texan, living just north of DFW.

Not in Texas, currently going from Fla. to Ariz. with another RW owner. We retired in Haslet in '08 & hit the road fulltime.

Just remembered I couldn't have drilled a new hole that easily, mine has granite counter tops.

I visit Haslet often . I hope to retire soon, I am living in my RW full time as a "test run" prior to actually retiring. Just need to make sure I can live in a 5th wheel full time, it's been 6 months, and I am happy to say "I love it". Are you sure your counters are granite? Mine look like granite, but they are not. Hope to see you "out on the road" sometime.

They are probably Quartz. I have those countertops in my 2013 31SL and I love them. They discontinued that option. (Sad thing)

Absolutely granite, they only used for very short run & we were lucky enough to get it.

The granite looked nice, but the weight was terrible so we didn't get it. Ironically, the Rep even offered to throw it in free because they were trying to exhaust stock, and I explained it wasn't the money, rather my wife could not remove the sink and stove panels because of her muscle disease, so it was a no-go.

Nice rig Dan & Connie! Tell Connie that this Connie says hello!
I was unaware that any of the Redwoods had actual granite, very interesting. Mine just looks granite like

I agree those covers are heavy, but we left the sink covers in storage & DW has induction cookers so we rarely take them off of the stove.

my apologies Rick, I called it granite too even after you reminded us they were Quartz. My bad. They are (were) quartz tops and backsplash, $2,500 option MSRP.

I know that mine are quartz. I wasn't sure after the comments. I thought maybe somewhere along the line Redwood offered granite. Quartz is much easier to maintain. I put all the quartz covers into my home garage. Way too much weight, the covers were causing the stainless sink to come loose. I do love the looks. If I remember correctly, the quartz added around 500lbs to the weight. It doesn't really matter that much for the 31SL but wouldn't want that extra weight in the larger units.

We were really concerned with overall weight as well, as we still had hopes of towing with our SRW SB F350, so we were concerned with Quartz, as well as the slide in a slide. As it turned out, we got a new truck anyway. Could have got that Heartland Mobile Suites .....NOT

Well I am pulling with a SRW Ford F350but my total weight is around 14,000 lbs. Not a problem. Would I rather be pulling with the dually?Yes, but wife didn't like that idea. Did a lot of research and the SRW fit the requirements.
