Do you weld the mount to the foot?

each one has a bolt that you can either dill a hole in the foot or in my case I welded the bolt onto the foot. I prefered to weld . Otherwise the bottom of the foot has the head of the bolt underneath and would not sit flat. If you use wooden blocks or the orange rv block under it it would work fine. Probably even without using blocking it would be fine

Jon, I did not weld the bolts.
I ordered the non weld version, they sent stainless steel flat head bolts with a drill bit and counter sink bit with the stabilizer's.
I removed the foot pad, drilled then counter sunk the pad from the bottom. The head of the bolt is flush with the bottom of the pad, nothing sticks up.

I read your post Rob and decided to buy one of these Steady Fast systems. I have welded the bolts to the three feet and installed one bracket so far and installed the stabilizer. We are looking forward to trying it out. I will update on this when we give her a try around the 20th of this month if all goes right.

I installed the Steady Fast Stabilizers on my SOB and they made an unbelievable difference. Looking at the RW, it appears the spare tire would interfere with the rear stabilizer. Suggestions?

Paul
On mine the tire was not in the way. The stabilizer does not have to be perfectly straight across from the jack. It can be on an angle unless you spare carrier is directly centers between the Jack's. If that is the case I would move the carrier one way or the other

Same with mine, the rear stabilized is mounted at a angle to clear the tire and some other components, mine still works great !!!

I just put my bracket right in front of the rear hydraulic lift just behind the tire, there was room enough there for it. I didn't have the spare tire on there yet, but it looked like I had lots of room. Will know more when I put the new tires on and take my spare off the ground and put back on the rack under the RV.

I put my spare tire back on it's rack today and there was plenty of clearance for the stabilizer bar. Like I said, I put the bracket right in front of the leveling leg and right behind the tire. See photos.

Well we have had a chance to check out the stabilizers, they work pretty good as far as I can tell. At least I can't feel movement as much. I also put a jack on the rear hitch to help stabilize the rear end a little better. So far I am very pleased. I lost one of the nuts that keeps the wing nut from falling off, I will have to make a quick trip to the hardware store and pick up another one. I'm tempted to run the nuts up as much as I can and wack the end of the bolt a bit so the nuts can't come off.
