We also don't plan on selling the house and will spend 6 - 8 months a year in the RW.

We have been enjoying the weekend RV trips since 1999, Tom came home from work and wanted to buy a 23 ft used 5th wheel. I figured he would get it out of his system and we could sell it and go one with life...........first time we took it out I looked at the calender to see when we could go again.............6 RV's later we now own a Redwood and dream of the day when we can spend lots more time in it. For now we are full time workers so it's weekends and vacations.

We are allowing 4 days and hoping for less, but have several major items (roof, 2 out of 3 slides, front axle/tire, fridge - ice maker quit and not cooling as it should, toilet either won't hold water or will overflow, slide seals coming apart on all three slides, front and rear end caps to replace/repair and a crack under the front side of the bedroom slide. I know I have forgotten a couple of items, but they have a detailed list. I have full confidence that everything can and will be corrected, that is why we are taking the time to go to the factory service.

The front and rear caps are fading badly at the top.

We are fulltime since 6/6/13. Our 38GK arrived and we had it delivered to La Hacienda RV Resort in Austin Texas. I will be working for about another 2 years, so we are pretty much set for now. There are some issues with ours as well, but the most critical one was fixed. (roof leak) The other items are not critical so we will wait to have those issues taken care of when we do our 1st year checkup. There is nothing I would have to change out at the moment. I am just keeping a list of things that need to be taken care of during the inspection. The only think I might ask to have sent to us is the shade over one of the windows. It fell off due to the heat and the glue just didn't hold. It was the only one that came off, so not so bad.

We are full time in our RW since May this year. Our unit was #331 off the production line and we have not had any significant issues with our coach. We are currently parked at my sister's place in MN and will be heading to Texas in 3 weeks for a 3 month volunteer position at the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge.

Someone else posted to subtract 1400 from your serial number (last 6 of your vin) to get your build number...i.e. sinders serial number must have been 1731 whereas ours, which was built 7-17 is # 3828 - so they are building the hot and heavy !

We have # 2986 built in Nov 2012, so that is almost 1,000 in about 9 months.

I would like to see them drop that production rate down to 3 per day and pay a lot more attention to QC.
