I think you need to carefully consider which shock mounting kit to be sure the shocks are at a workable angle, some I've seen are at such a severe angle that they probably have NO dampening effect.

We didn't have problems with our Heartland Bighorn, but several users complained that the angle of the shock absorbers were too great to be much help. This was with Lippert frames and Lippert axles.

Got Redwood weighed last week for first time

We recently had our 2015 RW 38RL weighed last week on our way to EUSA in Ft. Worth to get some warranty work done. As it was my first time weighing it, I'm not sure how to interpret the weights I received.

I first drove my 2015 RAM 3500 DW and RV on to the scales and these are the weights.

Steer axle: 5160
Drive axle: 7500
Trailer axle: 13360
Gross weight: 26020

I then unhitched and drove off the scales and left the RV to be weighed.

Drive axle: 4760
Trailer axle: 12040
Gross weight: 16800

I'm not too concerned about my TV, as it is rated to pull around 28-29K, but I'm concerned about being over my GVWR off 16500 on the RV.

Do these numbers look like I weighed it correctly? I had it done at a TA travel center. Do I have some major concerns here?

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When you unhitch and drive off the scales, the trailer axle weight will change due fact the front pin weight was on the truck the first time and the front legs are supporting the front weight further back on the frame the second time.

When we weighed, we weighed the Truck front and rear unhitched, then weighed both with 5er connected, the difference is the 5th Wheel's Pin Weight.
We only care about trailer axle weight when connected to the truck as it will be higher.

Then we add trailer axle weight to pin weight to get trailer weight.

Steve you are not overloaded
The trailer axles are good for 14000 unless you have 8 axles and it would be more. You are only at 13360. Your GVWR of the trailer is 16500 but when hooked to the tow vehicle you are 3440 below that. You can load a hole bunch more stuff in it. also your truck is not overloaded either
