Food sliding in refigerator

We have the residential French Door Frig. is there a trick to keeping the food from sliding around during transit?? Especially my husbands beer. LOL when we open the door everything tends to want to fall out on to the floor.

I bought a couple of the expandable things that are made for this very purpose. I got mine at Camping World.

well, simple problem - MORE beer !

you just don't have ENOUGH beer to fill up a shelf

while we have one of those rods to hold it in place,
what we have done is put the rolling stock in the bins or doors and leave the shelves for the 'less movables'...

That's my solution

I put a beach towel in my liquor cabinet to keep all the booze and glasses tight against each other. After all the rough roads and being coast to coast, I haven't had a single broken glass.

Go to the container store or similar, and pick yourself up a few different size plastic containers with holes in them for air circulation. Get enough to make a semi tight fit. Been doing this for years with great results, and eliminates those nasty black rub marks from beer and soda cans.

in my RL , it's the lower cabinet between the stove and frig. I carry the wine above the utility closet.

Thats where we carry our pots & pans, the hooch is in the lower drawer of the pantry.

I thought someone said they were carrying theirs in the closet just inside the door, on our FB that cabinet isn't deep enough for liquor bottles.

That was me- our 36RL the shelves are deep enough for two jack bottles deep, or a magnum and some extra room. I have a sticker on the inside of the door I got from the JD distillery that says "Jack Lives Here" and told the DW - none of that Tupperware stuff goes in this cupboard

Brad ~ our RL has the adult beverage selection in the same place. Lower two shelves. The Crown, Vodka and Triple Sec fit nicely along with some DiSaronno and Southern. Later on I'll disclose where the wine rack is .........

Ya Vaughan, I think ours are deeper than some of the others. I remember one model that had that cupboard on both sides of the stair, and the one by the door was pretty shallow- about can size I think.

Wine rack?.... do tell....

Brad ~ Ikea has a really nice small wooden wine rack that holds 9 bottles and fits well in the upper left hand cabinet next to the TV.
Even enough room on the side for another couple of bottles if needed plus a few other things.

I am probably late to the party...but Amazon has all kinds of refrigerator storage bins to fit all of your needs. After having a residential frig in our Redwood....I ordered a set of containers by InterDesign...set of 4 (each a different size) and an additional one to fit bottled water. I love these and now I have nothing that slips or slides.

Yes, Lady E; I agree. I have found putting things like BEER in a bin (we call it the "beer drawer") and other smallies like condiments in a bin, you win half the battle. The residential fridge door design keeps the bigger stuff in place depending on shelf placement. Keeps things tidy too, should have done it in my S&B!
