Electric Dump Valve

I am going to replace my dump valve tomorrow with an electric one, the cable broke on me last weekend. Everything looks pretty straight forward except there to pick up power. If anyone has done this before can you give me some pointers?

It was not meant to be, but looking back, hindsight is 20/20

I have one that is waiting installation as well. I pulled down the belly to look at it and there should be wires right there to splice into. There should also be power running the lights in the convenience center.

Where are you putting the dump button?
I thought I would put mine in the convenience center on the left side but, also thought about putting it inside the coach.

okay one of the easiest installations I have ever done. I can't get the photos to attach. Titan Guy I put it on the wall to the left of the original installation.

Hopefully you can find a way to post the pictures and let us know how you went about it, power, location of the switch(s)

Thanks
Dan

I have built an album and I believe you can see the pictures there. Maybe someone with better computer skills can post them here.

Pick the desired location.
Mount the template.
Drill two holes one 1 3/4 inches and one 1 inch.
Run harness through the largest hole mount the switch, this is the one step that gave me trouble. The screws that are sent give the kit are flat head screws. They say to drill a 1/16 hole but the screw would not bite, so I went up a size to 5/64 that worked.
I picked up the hot wire and the neutral wire at the water pump, very easy to get to.
Hook the two white wire on the back of the switch the reset switch.
Run the harness through the hole where the dump cable runs.
Remove old valve and clean both sides.
Install new rubber seals on the RV separate the plumbing and insert the new valve.
install new bolts just snug do not over tighten.
Plug in and turn on switch red light indicates open, no light indicates fully closed.

The whole job took less than two hours.
