Neither of us are retired military, but thank you for your service! The young man who sold us the jetpack was a Marine. We were talking at the end if the transaction about his military service. He served in Iraq and Afganistan training as a sniper. The week he came home he was jumped as he took money out of an ATM and the robber demanded his money. He said no and as the thief tried to stab him he grabbed his arm and broke it and then did a pressure hold that knocked the theif out. Unfortunately when the police arrived he had to prove what happened and lucky the video tape did just that! So proud of this young man!

Eileen,

You don't have to be retired military to get the veterans discount, if you have prior military service and have a DD214 you qualify.

Eileen, your photos won't be the big consumer. Streaming or gaming can eat up the 10gb pretty fast. We connected the LR TV to our Verizon mifi and watched a couple of HD shows on Amazon and it ate probably 2 gb.

If you have cable, you shouldn't need to worry too much about it.

It's easy to go through 10 Gig, we just changed our JetPack as the old one was acting up and while doing that went for 10 Gig ($80) to 15 Gig ($100).

I know how easy it is to go through data. My wedding DVD's are normally 4GB and if I do 3 weddings a month that's 12 GB. So that wouldn't leave anything for my family and high school senior sessions. This will be a test and I may go to a free wifi spot and see what uploading is like at Starbucks or McDonalds. LOL

We are trying to hook up the cable TV and can't seem to get it to switch from the HDTV to cable and the Brighthouse Cable technician seems to think there has to be a switch somewhere.

There is a booster switch that you should turn ON for over the air tv and off for cable...
typically by the bedroom tv in most rv's, but understand redwood moves them around - some behind the tv, some in a cabinet, some in the pantry...

Here's a discussion on it:
http://www.redwoodowners.com/forums/...hlight=booster

it may be black or white and looks like this:

We found it after using a flashlight in the bedroom by the TV. Ugh I showed the technician that to start with because of reading posts on the forum! We even had the Redwood manuals out and then went back again and told them I know they said it was next to the bedroom TV.......second time was a charm thanks to extra light! You guys rock!

Eileen, apparently the Redwood employees like playing games. I can hear the technicians whispering amoung themselves " ha ha they'll never find this one" as they start running wires to it.

I will say one thing Redwood got right on the FL models, there are two compartments / cabinets above the living room TV.

The DVD Player is in the left side compartment and the TV Booster switch is in the right side compartment. We put our Satellite receiver in the right side compartment where the TV booster switch is.

It is easy to access as it is mounted in the top of the compartment, just reach in over the satellite receiver to turn it on and off.

We have the 36RL but 2013 and it is in the bedroom right side of the TV cabinet. Can only be seen after disconnecting the HDTV cable and using a flashlight. So it depends on the model as to where the connection is found. Seems like they should make it uniform, easy to find and a diagram in the manual as to where it can be found. But, that's a teacher speaking......I'm use to making things logical and easy to follow. LOL

Can someone tell me where to fined the splitters for the cable TVs. I found one that was above the bedroom light ceiling. But I believe the is one or two more. Thanks JohnEileen

I have a 1/4" dowel rod about 24" long. I use the rod to push the button behind the TV in the bedroom. Someone did not think when they put it back there.

When I traced out my ant/cable runs I found only the one in the bedroom light. The antenna booster is a splitter of sorts.

Thanks but looking at a semantic I found on the forum it appears there is more than one. I'm not "Larry the Cable Guy" though. If you know of someone that knows for sure please let me know.

On the 36RL, the booster in the bedroom is a splitter (1 of 4), there is one behind the LR TV (2 of 4), and 2 above the ceiling in the bedroom (3 of 4 and 4 of 4).

Just to note - I posted that drawing under Systems (LIBRARY tab above) if anybody needs it.
