Alpha Systems LLC

I just ordered 3 tubes of 1010 caulking for the front and rear caps and 3 tubes of 1021 self leveling caulking for pretty much everything else on the roof. They have a $50.00 minimum order plus shipping. The 6 tubes plus shipping was 53.10.

Buddy,
Where? Did you go with them direct?

Note the shelf life is very short - I think 2 years.

If i had the 6000.00 I would have the people at Excel RV put on the Rhyno roof with no seams and be done with it.

I ordered the Alpha 1010 and the Alpha 1021 tubes of caulk from www.PPLmotorhomes.com . The cost is $6.89/tube and there is no minimum but I think if you want free shipping you have to order a certain dollar amount. They sell everything that you could ever think of for an RV. If you request one, they will send you their 800+ page catalog. Several years ago I needed a new Dometic Refrigerator. They shipped it to my door and saved me $600.00 over the exact same refrigerator at a local RV Dealer.

I wondering how much longer before it is offered by other manufactory's. I like the idea of a line-x roof. I have thought about talking to my truck accessory dealer to see if he would be interested in doing something like this once my roof warranty has expired.

Excel is in Kansas and they do Redwoods they actually take the plywood off and redo the whole roof to make it stronger. I was thinking about it, but we have figured in for a new RV every 5 years. I'll wait and see what's out there. 3 more years with this Redwood.

I'll try that thanks! I need to do a little modification on the roof for the satellite.

OK, that's weird. I got a great big parts catalog from Explore USA (our purchasing dealer) that has their name on it, and the Alpha products are also on page 251. There must be a third party parts distributer and all the Dealers use them and put their names on the catalog.

A lot of your dealers have the same catalogue. The only difference are the covers. They are put out by the distributers, I don't know if they have to pay for the cover or not.

Wow, I have both catalogs and never realized that the Exploreusa is the same but then I never have ordered from Exploreusa. I have had good luck with PPL so I've just always ordered from them. Even the prices are the same.

You're right Roger, I think it is just the cover that is different. I just called PPL Motorhomes and ordered the same part number in my Dealers book, and he came up with exactly the same thing, 38-1805 equals Alpha N101001T, Lap Sealant and 38-1807 equals N102101T, Self Leveling Sealant.

For fun, try to order from this place which also uses this book:

http://www.mwrvcenter.com/rvparts/al...Sealant-381805

The have the shipping weight set for the whole 34 lbs carton, so a $6.20 tube costs $80 to ship
