A small freezer sounds like the way to go - especially since the icemaker takes up so much of the freezer space. We didn't order the icemaker in the 12 cu/ft fridge because of that - and, becauseI didn't think"tankwater ice cubes" sounded that appetizing... even with the filtration. Guess I'll use bottle water and make them the old fashion way.

I really love the idea of the freezer in the w/d area. My question is do you have to secure it down for travel, and if so HOW?

Since we're getting the Combo Washer/Dryer and the size of our freezer, we'll have to shoehorn the freezer in and once there I don't think it will move much. It Traveled all the way South in the Basement and didn't move an inch. We'll really know more once we get our unit.

This is the unit we are looking at if we can get the factory the widen the compartment for the W/D. In the 34sk it measures 26.5", this Ventless Combo unit is 27" wide, but vs the Splendide 13lb load limit it's 22 lb load lets you do a normal wash. Plus since it is ventless it solves the problem of not getting a vent unless you order the factory w/d option. Happy trails.

Could u order the LG and your freezer and have them expedite ship these items and see if the factory would install them for you while the unit is being built or is it too late for that?
