Where did you find the map. That is cool.

Ken, the map is cool. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the implication of the map was to show where you've been with your Redwood. Isn't yours on order?
I'm new to all this and trying to figure it all out. Heck, I never was on a forum before I got the bit by the Redwoods. Thanks.

Since this topic is TN RW owners, maybe the map is part of the "Tennessee Waltz"?

My thought with the map is to show where we've visited, either in the RW or otherwise. If I needed to limit the map to only places we've been in the RW then I'd need a different map for every forum I contribute to.

You are right about our 38FL being on order. The wait is killing us!!!!

That said, the current schedule is for it to start production on 3/10. We are going to the factory on 3/14 to have a look at the coach and take a tour of the factory. Once it is completed it will go for paint then head to Tampa, FL to the dealer.

Hope to be able to take delivery by the end of March. The one big hold up is that the 2015 F350 probably won't show up until sometime in April, so the plan might be delayed, but if the weather here in Tennessee stays this cold, I might go live in it in Tampa at the Lazydays campground even before the truck shows up .

As a vacationer, I could never get anywhere with a map if I started over with each new rig- I confess my states are anywhere I've been with an RV.

When I retire, I'll start a new one

I do have a stick on map inside the cabinet door that is dedicated for the Redwood, no other history.

We are a paltry 2 Provinces and 4 States so far, but plan to increase these numbers significantly this Summer & Fall.

Oriana,

So help me out here with a little feedback and your opinion. We are waiting delivery of a 2014 38FL. You've probably already said so but how do you like the 36FL floor plan? Did we make the right choice? So few plans have the living area up front (loft style), but it seems to me to make so much sense, tell me what you think.....

Ok, for the group also, this thread has wondered from the original topic, but I personally like that, common cause and all that.

Back to the theme though how many of us are from Tennessee? I live (for the moment anyway) in Franklin just south of Nashville. Anyone else actually get their snail mail in Tennessee?

Cheers,
Ken

Morning Ken,

We have the 36FL and they have made a few changes when bringing out the 38FL, some we like, but others not so much.

Firstly, the Front Living concept - we love the layout and it really works well for us and the dogs. While still open plan, we have a separate living room and kitchen, which appeals to us. While I haven't taken any measurements the living/kitchen area on the FL appears larger than the other 36 model floorplans. With 2 large dogs this was a benefit.

Their are some negatives of the 36FL - rather small basement, no dad's toolbox, bedroom is small (especially with king bed) and you have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Having guests staying over can be somewhat challenging arranging bathroom breaks, showers, etc. The living room also doesn't have recliners.

They have made some changes for the 38FL:
- the bedroom is bigger, which we like
- they have added recliners in the living room, which we also like
- they have moved, and I believe shrunk the entertainment centre to between the LR & kitchen, which we don't like. We and others have voiced this dislike with RW reps.

We prefer the 36FL layout of the living room, as we use the seats facing the entertainment centre and we cover the couch for the dogs. I also can't see how you could survive with less cupboards, as ours are all utilised.

In summary the floorplan is great for us and we work around the little negatives. We would buy another FL, once they fix the LR layout.

Thanks for the info Oriana. I think we have come to pretty much the same conclusions as you with the exception that we like the 2014 LR layout better than the 2013.

About the small basement, we thought that also. Have you considered putting a back porch on the back of the RW for some additional storage?

Ken

We are very happy with what we have and I have adjusted where everything goes. If I got more storage DW would find a way to fill it.
