Now you just have to decide if you are "Drinkers with a Redwood Problem..." or "Redwooders with a Drinking Problem..."

I'll let you decide. this is the e-mail I sent Brian Today, after Redwood not liking the last estimate, they requestedon paint.

Enough with the delays. this has been going on way to long. Maybe Redwood, the paint company and Windish RV should have done a better job of quality control, before releasing this unit. My business experiences has been, it's cheaper to do it rightthe first time. We picked this unit up April 24 and have only used it three days, traveling back from the purchase. The rest of the time it was sitting waiting for repair appointment and it was in the shop for a total of 59 days. Now we are waiting again. On getting the cargo doors replaced, with paint problems (and have to be repainted) along with entry door new side pieces that need painting (that stand out like a sore thumb), along with all the rest of the paint flaws. While waiting we discovered the fresh water tank drains off, when filling, the bedroom main slide has day light on both sides, when closed, with one seal cut about 2 in. short. We wonder, what other problems will accure? When we finally get a change to use this unit as it was intended. Redwood need to step all the way up to the plate and take care of this or refund us the purchase price and all expense incurred or do I need to seek another solution.

Lillyputz...

This goes way beyond issues with a new product. Your unit should be placed on the factory floor as an example of what NOT to ship.

I can only hope Brian and Redwood management step up and do you right with a brand new unit or substantial compensation after getting all things right on the existing one.

I would almost be inclined to tell them to shove this unit and demand a new one... your summer is ruined now or soon will be even if they fix the existing unit to a proper QC standard.

Gosh...I don't know what to say! I'm sorry to hear that you've had problems with your unit.

Redwood so far has stood by the few problems I've encountered without any hesitation at all. I had a problem with the slid-in-slide and I already have an appointment to get it fixed at the factory. The paint on my unit isn't flawless but it's a RV not a car and nobody notices but me.

Lillyputz....I wish you "God's Speed" on getting your your problems resolved.

I would love to attend but just got back from a 2000 mile round trip 2 week vacation to Yellowstone this past Sat, and now back to work for another year before I retire. BTW if anyone travels to Yellowstone and is looking for full hookups you can book into Fishing Bridge campground, but I will fore warn you that this campground is not very pleasant. We chose to stay in Grant Village and use our batteries and generator. In general the traditional Yellowstone campgrounds were developed in the 1950s and do not accommodate our rigs very well. I had a 54ft U shaped pull through that I could only partially get my rig into. I'll post a couple of pictures showing how I had to precision park to make sure the trees were spaced in between the slides. I only had a couple of inches between the slides on either side and thetrees.

I just stayed in a state park in Kentucky at the "land between the lakes" like that. Some of those can be a challenge. As my wife pointed out, either people are in awe of how we get these big beautiful trailers in VERY small spaces or we're the entertainment when we can't Thankfully since I drove semis for 20 years in my previous life, I'm pretty good at it.
