How many time's did you ask your self if you were doing the right thing? I have been living out of a hotel for the last 7 years 3 days a week for work. So this is the fix my wife and I came up with. Hope it works. Wife is happy shes going to quit work. I'm going to still work but she can come with me now.

I retired from the automotive industry in 2007. We bought our first TT in June of 2010 and camped 50 times or so before deciding to do it full time. My DW was still working in corporate America until 8 weeks before we hit the road in September of 2011. We sold a house and rental house within 6 weeks of putting them on the market and rented until our launch date.
Our original intent was to find a new place to live that didn't have the harsh winters that Toledo can have and wanted to spend time in a new community before making a decision to live there permanently.
3 months into our journey we decided to put off the move and make traveling a full time thing.
We traded in our Rockwood TT for our 36FL while in the Dallas Texas area and have never looked back.

How many times did we ask ourselves if we were doing the right thing?? Many, many times but we have no doubt now that it was the right decision for us. Unburdening our lives from all that "stuff" was the most freeing thing we've ever done.
Sometimes less is more...
UNDRPSI and all.. enjoy your new 36FL. You'll be very comfortable in it...we sure are.

Written from a campground in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northern Georgia, feet up, coffee brewing. Life is good..

We too sold our house in 2007. I have never thought twice that this is the lifestyle I wanted. Now, it took a little more coaching for my lovely wife.lol We first had a storage unit 10X20, then down to a 5X10, then into a 4X8 cargo trailer and now we have a 6X12 cargo trailer that allows storage and a small work area for hobbies, etc. My wife volunteers at Lake Waco, TX and we are enjoying lakefront view without property tax or rent. It is not a lifestyle for everyone (thank goodness) but like TA just said - "Sometimes less is more". Drinking coffee and visiting with forum family - LIFE IS GREAT.

Ok here is the short list of issues with our FL, they forgot to run the wiring for the power awning (we ordered ours with out the awning installed but we wanted the wires and switch ran sowe could use the power source for the 12v awning light in the awning I'm installing), they forgot install the ceiling fan ( we hoppe the wiring is there, its labeled in the breaker box), there was a ceiling light that was not hooked up, the washer drainwas not hooked up and the washer lines all leaked (just needed the lines ajusted and new seals installed),some scratcheson the table top and a light lense was cracked, and the shower door leaks. All in all not bad.We absolutly love our new home!

Well I recently read that for the first time in 200 years, the population of New Hampshire has exceeded that of Maine. Maybe that's a good sign. Good Luck on your home sale. Edited by: John317
