First Post and a warranty question...

All,

Been reading this forum for a week or so as the wife and I transition from a mid-level forest river product into a Redwood. This particular Redwood is a leftover 2014 that the wife saw an opportunity in and haggled to a very reasonable offer... Anyway, my quesiton involves the warranty of this unit. Because it is a 2014 does that mean that it comes with the 2+5 that was in effect when it was built or would it have been changed or downgraded to the 1+5 warranty which is in effect now once sale is finalized.

I understand that all current 2015 vehicles have the 1+5 but what about leftover 2014 trailers???

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and any insight you might provide into what the warranty for our trailer is in terms of duration.

Welcome to the forum and to the Redwood family. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that are willing to help.

On your question of warranty, I believe the 2014 models have the 2+5 warranty. Look on the outside near the entry door. Our 2013 has a 2+5 sticker. Also, your manual should state the warranty period.

We just got our 2014 left over a month ago and it comes with the 2+5 starting from purchase.
If it was a used model then it would start from original owner unless you purchase additional coverage. The sales person should have gone over all of that with you.

Welcome to the growing family of Redwooders As other have already said, the 2014 should have the 2/5 warranty as long as it's classified as new. The warranties don't convert to the 2nd owner.

There's a lot of good knowledgeable people on this site willing to help with any questions. Again....welcome aboard

The original warranty is only good to the original purchaser do if used there is not factory warranty...

but if you are the original purchaser, then you probably have the 2 year....

good luck with it...

Start Date for Warranty

Your Question was start date for warranty. We have a 2013 FL purchased in March 2014. Warranty starts on Day of Purchase. This is what I was told at Purchase. It has always been the case when purchasing vehicles, boats, tractors and all the other things I have collected over the years.
