of all the great changes here, the number one thing I still would like changed is BOTH better quality control of the finished product and better (no ANY!) after sale support in the state of Texas

but, re the cord reel - love the location of ours and one of the redeeming options we added:

Interesting.

Also looks like the 12 Cubic Foot Fridge with ice maker, Ceiling Fan, Central Vac & Stainless Steel Applicances are also standard features. All of which were an option a year ago when we bought ours.

It also looks like they added some new options, most notably:

H Rated Tires
8,000 lb axles
Power Cord Reel
Lino option for living room
Induction range

All awesome!

I do hope they keep the residential items as options rather than standard, as I'm just not sure I would be ready to give up the dry camp idea, or even the near primitive sites with 20A.

Ken, if you are "on" facebook, just type Redwood Rv in the "find friends" search engine. Not sure about what you can access if you're not signed up. No picture on the Redwood website yet.

We ordered our 38gk with the bedroom sink left off and a matching cabinets to both sides. After fulltiming for 2 months, we've had no real problems. I was thinking this morning if they had built a deeper slide in the bedroom they wouldn't need a slide in a slide. Maybe it was an engineering problem. You will always wish something was moved or extended here and there. You are still limited to 430 sq ft. or so! Maybe go out the roof with a second story. Some of these rigs weren't legal in California until January of this year because of length.

I noticed that one day while stumbling around the outside. I think it is shallow because of the W/D in there that they don't want to have hanging too far out. I agree, had it been a full size slide we would get another 8" at the foot of the bed.

All the previous suggestions are great. Hope Redwood is monitoring.

I wonder why there have never been opposing bedroom slides. That would allow Redwood some more flexibility in laying out the upstairs on several models.
Side windows on the bedroom slide or anywhere else on the street side would allow more light in.

A small window between the medicine cabinet and sink in the RL/RE and other bathroom would be nice.

Also, would like to see an option for scare lights at all four corners. I ended up putting in my own on my 36RL and it was a very challenging project but work great and look nice.

Would not want to see Residential Appliances as standard but like the option.

Think there should be an option for pair(s) of Deep Cycle 6V batteries and/or Solar Prep for those of us who dry camp at places like the beach w/o using the generator.

Redesign the Convenience Center so the water filter could be changed from the outside without unloading. Also add a fresh water drain pull handle.

How about a backup camera or a couple additional wires in the rear cap to facilitate installing one? If you are handy, you could probably wire a Ford, GMC or Dodge tailgate camera that would display on the factory nav.

Hard-wired Surge Protector as an option.

Power steps would be a nice option - especially after the Redwood OEMs get a couple seasons old.

Small things:
Chrome tip on generator exhaust should be standard.

Quieter converter or more sound proofing in vicinity.

Put the nice interior wood back that the '12 and '13s had.

Dimmer switch for light over dining room.

Real lamps in the hitch area. Those LEDs are so lame.

5th Time,

That list is like you were reading my mind! I couldn't have come up with a closer match to my wish list on a 36RL.

The only one I frown on is opposing slides in the bedroom - I always bragged on the Redwood slide-in-slide gives the same room as opposing, but eliminates the slide hanging into the awning/patio space on the curb side. DRV has done that for years and the patio area is awful.

Question...how many use the lights on the front for the hitch?

I was waxing my coach yesterday and when I was working under the front cap saw the switch, toggled it on and saw that the lamps were LED's. I think this is the first time I've turned these lights on for over a year!

The new MB has a deeper slide in the bedroom and for that reason, the slide-in-slide isn't necessary.

We have owned our 2012 36RL for 3 years and I have never used the front hitch LED lights for hitching up. I never try to hook up in the dark. If I need to leave a campsite early in the morning, I make sure to have a pull-through site or hook up the evening before.

ya - we noticed in 2013 it was only the slides with the W/D in them that were shallow - the rest were full size.

I use them to light up the area at night before bed to keep from smacking that hitch. Also light up the flags we put on the nose.

I noticed one side of mine has about 3 LEDs out. What a hassle. When HP came out with these LEDs they were some of the most reliable light systems out there (1980s) and were used in emergency lighting. When we went cheap, we are paying for it now.

I use the front hitch lights all the time. I'm a big fan of hokey lights in general but these add an element of safety to the campsite during the evening hours.

One of the great features of the 36FL is the two slide configuration of the bedroom.
