Back Up Camara suggestions

Does anyone use a wireless back up camera with success that also works while moving / driving. I really do not want to fish cables from one end to the other. I purchased the Furrion and am not impressed with the results. I think I would like a 7" and with audio also

My wireless that RW installed barely works when standing still. It's so iffy I don't even try to use it anymore. Still like the idea and if had to do over would wire it and lock pick directly to my b/u camera.

Ted, Do you have the Furrion monitor with the external antenna or the one without?

My 36FB came with the monitor without the external antenna, the FRC12TA-BL. This did not work moving and often when not moving.

Furrion replaced my unit with the one with the external antenna. This works great stationary and moving. Although I haven't used it extensively while moving.

The Furrion website lists the two model.
FOS48TA-BL Wireless Observation (high speed & reversing) $499
FRC12TA-BL Wireless Backup (Intended for reversing only) $399

Ted,
I too have the Furion Wireless:
Wireless High-Speed Observation System. (For high-speed observation and backup use) - FURRION

It works both for parking and driving. For driving, I have to turn on the running lights.

Yes, I tapped into the middle running light at the top.

Scott ~ how's the reception while driving down the road ? I understand that's usually where the wireless systems fall short.

I have only turned it on a couple times while driving and it worked fine. I need to mount the screen in the truck. I only pull it out when I am backing up.

I mounted it on the top by the lights so that if reception was bad I would replace the antenna with a mag mount, but that hasn't been necessary.

Also, I am a rookie and this is the first trailer I have pulled. I bought the camera thinking it would help me back in. I would say it is a little helpful but it certainly has not made me look like I know what I am doing.

As a temporary mounting suggestion:

I bought a smart phone holder that plugs into a cigarette lighter and put the monitor in the holder. This allows me to quickly set up the monitor, without having to use the suction cup on the windshield. My dash doesn't have an open flat spot where I can use the suction cup mount.

The reception is great while going down the road, even though the monitor is mounted below the windshield level.
