Winterizing a Washer

Ok - I know the best way to winterize it would be to tow the coach far enough south. However ....... at least for this year it's not an option.

I know I can easily run the pink stuff thru the cold side by running a wash cycle, but what do most of you use to get antifreeze into the hot side ? If the water heater is in bypass, will the hot side also get antifreeze flow ?

Don't want to screw up my just installed this year washer Plus I'm the one that would have to take it out of there and I really don't want to LOL

Thanks for all responses.

I have attached the winterizing instructions for the Splendide W/D.

I actually do both the instructions to dump A/F into the drum and I also flow A/F through the plumbing to the W/D. Instead of setting the water temp to hot, I select "warm", that way I'm flowing A/F through both the hot and cold lines coming into the unit.

If the HW heater is on bypass you should be flowing A/F through the HW lines.

Just my $0.02 worth!

Yes, on bypass you still get pink in the hot side, it just doesnt go through the tank. I blow out the line with the HW tank drain open and bypass off, to get any residual out of the line to the tank before I bypass it. Also gently blow out the tank flush just in case.

Just gave mine the pink cocktail saturday

I do the same. I turn the by-pass on and then run the machine long enough for the pink to run through the hot and cold side.
