Winegard all the HD channels and all you do is turn it on and walk away only drawback is parks with lots of trees so I also have a carry out and 100 feet of cable got it on sale and have only used it twice

Dish, tripod and cable. Takes a little longer to set up, but don't need to be concerned about where I park for reception. I've even had a few people with mounted setups run cable to my dish and split off it.

Not gonna mount it to the 5th wheel and definitely going to use an easy set up dish. I hear tailgater is great but only works with dish and can only watch one show even with two TVs. Is this true? And einegard can work with dish or direct , I hear.

My buddy has the Winegard carry out that seems to work. It's prettier than the tailgater, but didn't realize such a huge difference in price. $400 tailgater compared to $600 Winegard carry out.

Here is the truth. I had a winegard and it worked perfectly and loved it BUT you can only watch and record different programs if you are on the same sat. When you change the channel to a different sat the dish will go find that sat. My winegard now is roof mounted and is the same as the Dish on your home. Now I can watch and record on two different sat. at the same time. I also carry my back up dish so if I get in the trees I can set it up and get reception.

Forgot to mention the winegard comes set for Direct TVform the factory. You must remove the dome and set it for Dish which takes about five minutes.

I'm in the midst of checking out all the different sat. dishes. I'm leaning toward the Relay by King Dome. I'm unsure of mounting the satellite dome on the slope part of the roof. The dome will be taller than my bedroom air conditioner. My wife's not all that impressed with shimming the dome on the slope of the roof.

I'm also, looking at the carry out dome.........decisions, decisions.

I would check with folks who have a Dome and see how they like it. We've got friends who hated their Dome and changed it out for the Winegard DirceTV SlimLine dish and love it. We had the Winegard Travelr SlimLine on our Montana, and had one installed on our RW before we took delivery. Yes, everyonce in a while you'll have trees in the way, but more and more CGs offer Satellite Friendly sites if you ask.

We opted for the dish, tripod set up. Have the DirectTV Genie set up. It allows us to watch anything on any TV (we have 3). We can record up to 6 shows at one time. We can set and play on any of the 3 TVs. We are big TV watchers and this was the cheapest and best set up for us. I didn't want to have to worry about trees!

Dave, If you decide you are going to mount to the roof, forget the domes and go to the Winegard traveler. I'ts an automatic elyptical dish that finds all three satellites and then parks. You can watch any channel on any TV, as it is watching all 3 satellites at the same time.

The domes have to toggle between satellites when you change channel, and your other TVs have to be on the same satellite as the master, even though they can be on different channels. If it gets wet, TV is over for a while because they can't see through the water.

I thought my rooftop dome was the greatest, but now I know the Traveler is the greatest.

We have the WingardSK-SWM3 DIRECTV Slimline mounted on the roof and it has worked real well for us. A push of the button and it will unfold, find it's three satellites and lock in within a couple of minutes. I did have a few problems with reception during hard rains, but Ialleviated</span>the issue by shrink wrapping all of the connections.
