Window for front door

Has anyone cut a window in the front door? I was thinking about installing a standard size RV door window 12x21. I have a stained glass window that I purchased for our old rig and want to install it in the Redwood. Frames are readily available. Just hard to cut into the door!

Just picked up a bottle of moonshine from the Las Vegas Distillery tour Saturday - it may take the whole magnum .

I thought of doing the same thing on our new 38GK. The peephole is 4' above anyone standing on the steps so it is worthless. I think it would be easy to buy a saw blade for a skill saw and just cut through both sides at the same time. The window kits are simple to install after that.

All it takes is good saw & lots of guts, nothing in between but Styrofoam. Make sure the DW is at the store before you make the initial cut. Good luck!!

I would love to see the finished product and a little explanation as to how the door was cut.

Lots of blue painters tape, drill bit and jigsaw with sharp fine blade. Probably take 5 mins once you have the door removed, blue tape applied and hole drawn out. Don't be afraid, just plan accordingly and mask everything off so you don't scratch the paint.

Or... Take it to a body shop and pay them the hourly rate to do it.
