water came in when slide came in

Ya if I bring my slides it when its raining, I get the water with it sometimes. I just towel it up after the slides are in.

By the way, what is a "door slide"? What model do you have?

Mine does occasionally in back corner near couch, I just make sure to dump water off of slide topper before retracting & that seems to solve the problem.

We were in one hell of a rain and had no choice but bring in the slides so we could leave. That time we got quite a bit of water off the top of the slides. I usually raise the front of the trailer so the water runs off before I bring in the slides.

If I suspect there is water on the slide toppers, I lower the rear of the trailer and raise the front to dump most of the water off the toppers. I usually try to do this the day before so the toppers have a chance to air dry. If I have to do it the morning we are going to move, I dump the water then use a squeegee on a an extendable pole to remove water from the ends of the slides, then, place a towel over the end of the squeegee and finish drying most of the water off before putting in the slides.

Do you level the coach before retracting the slides? For some reason I recall that the rig should be level when operating the slides.

I like to squeegee mine off and dry them as much as possible, they seem to twist up if there wet.

No I don't. The slide will come in a seat just fine without having the trailer level.

One problem is on the Schwintek slides, water will run inside if the slides are not level during the retract and it is wet or raining during the retract..
When the Schwintek slides are open, the rails / tracks will leak water into the coach if it is raining and the slide is not level, water will run down the rails / track and inside.
