Washing machine and dryer

Does anyone have a washing machine and dryer in rv that they love? I have a 2017 Redwood 3901 mb and am thinking about installing w&d.

We have splendide washer and dryer in ours and they work very well. We are very satisfied with them. We have used them for over 3.5 years with no problems. We also had a Whirlpool set in our MH that we also liked.

I picked up a LG combination washer/dryer ventless. It works great and you can actually do a pretty good sized load. The only thing is I have to do some carpentry work to the door jam and move the trim out 2 inches because it is deeper than the splendid make.

I had a Maytag apartment sized washer and dryer in my old 5er. It worked very good also. Just had to replace the plastic drum bearing a couple of times and the washer drain would catch a nickle just perfect and block the drain pump. Also an easy fix taking the hose off just before the pump.

We had the Spledide vented combo in our last 5er, it did a good job but took about 2+ hours per small load. Wouldn't do the combo again & wouldn't do the ventless, too much moisture into the rv.
We now have the Splendide stackable w/d & they do a great job with good size loads. I know others have different brands of apartment size units that are much less $$ than the Splendide, maybe they'll chime in.

Have a maytag washer does ok but strainer cleaning is a pain, cuz t in e front bottom panel is behind cabinet trim ,
Whirlpool dry vented outside lint screen in the back of the drum hard to reach in to get at it
Both work well though,
Karlb.

I went with the Splendide all in one unit but my RW is set up for a side by side. I used the extra space for a small freezer. No regrets at all.

I also bought one of these.

It makes doing larger loads like sheets and towels faster.

We have a Maytag Washer (made by Whirlpool) and a Whirlpool Dryer.
Going on 6 years of regular service (moved them from our previous SOB 5th Wheel to our Redwood 4 years ago)
Wash cycle and Dry Cycle each take about an hour, so when wash cycle is complete, dryer is usually done too.

Splendide stackable in our 2013 36FB

Installed the stackable Splendide washer and dryer set in our RW 36FB four years ago and still going strong. Thank God I did the installation myself, as I don't believe the RV techs at our dealership would have though about (or worried) where the vent would have ended up penetrating the outside wall of our 5er. As you can see in the photos, I had to do a minor modification to the venting of the dryer so that it would not mess up the 2013 version of the Redwood logo on the door side of our RV. The only other modification I had to do was to remove the bottom of the three hinges used to hold the folding laundry room door onto the door frame. It makes life so much more pleasurable for my wife by being able to do our laundry at home in our RV, and not some dirty laundromat that God knows what kind of filthy greasy clothes were in the machines before you came to use them. Had many good clothes of our ruined with grease stains when we did have to go to the public laundry!

Looks as good as mine that was factory or dealer installed, not sure which.
Nice job! Same as you, can't imagine doing without them.

Danny, I'm betting yours was done at factory and then the logos were put on. Look how much lower your logos are on the coach compared to Gary's

I agree with Piper, Dan. It had to have been a factory install from the build order. Your vent appear to exit the inside of the 5er straight out of the back of the dryer, which is what I would have preferred to do in mine had it not been for the logos already being installed. Since we did not order our unit to be built, but rather bought in in a clearance sale at Lazydays, we had to make do. Story on our unit is that it was a custom order (with many options according to the build order) that was delivered to the customer with the wrong color package on the FBP. They walked away and requested their deposit back. We got it for a heck of a price, considering it listed at $118,000 before taxes, dealer prep, etc. on the build order that we received a copy of.
