Warranty

My wife and I only have two RW dealers within 3 to 4 hrs of us. We have visited one and aren't real excited about the dealership. I have started some conversation with the other dealership and plan on visiting in the near future. We still are on plan to order our 38GK early next year. They sent me information on lifetime warranty with a company name NWAN, inc. Also information about Priority RV network. Does anyone have any information or advise about either of the companies? Our truck should be here in a couple of weeks and will try to learn how to post a picture of it. Thanks for the help.....Earl

Hi Earl
Any Crossroads dealer can do warranty work for you. My dealer is about a 70 mile tow for me. While they do good work, the word "timely" isn't in their vocabulary.

Another dealer that is about five miles from me is a Crossroads dealer and also has a very, very good Service Dept. I made it a point to go talk to the Sales Manager and explain who I was and why I bought the Redwood (they have nothing comparable) and that I'd like to do my service work with them and if I ever decide to go to a Pusher I would give them the opportunity to do that. They are a Winnebago and Tiffin dealer and that's what I would probably look at anyway.

Bottom line is that the Service Advisor and I are first name basis. I haven't had many issues with the coach, all have been handled well, and I also do all my maintenance with them.

Earl,

welcome to the group and we're all here to help with any questions you might have. I'm personally not a big fan of extended warranties but there are others that are. I do think it's best to buy from a dealer that is going to work with you. This means you have to check with others who have bought from them (I've never heard a salesman yet say that his service department sucks). Most, but not all, of the problems I've seen posted on this forum should have been resolved by the dealer. The dealers are real good at blaming the factory when a problem isn't fixed. Pick your dealer wisely and be reasonable in the way that you communicate with them.

I hope to see you with a shiny new Redwood someday

Hi Earl,

I totally agree with Dave. Do your homework and ask questions of the people who have used the dealer you intend to use. I can attest to the fact that most warranty issues should and could be taken care of by the dealer if the tech know his business. The best deal may not be the best dealer when it comes to warranty work. I can also attest to the fact that if you get a dealer that botches the warranty work, Redwood will stand behind their warranty and make it right, and that means everything to the consumer. Good luck, see you down the road!
