I too am appalled that Tom would be let go from Redwood. After months of research to determine which fifth wheel would replace our older 5er, Redwood was in my top 3. I called Tom and was very surprised that he would spend a very long time on the phone explaining to me the Redwood concept and answering all my questions. He never once made me feel that I was a burden to him or that something more important was awaiting him. He is the reason we chose Redwood. His enthusiasm for the product was incredible and I believe anyone that has that much passion for a product is evident of a good product! On one more occasion I had the opportunity to talk directly with Tom and again I was made to feel important even though I had several suggestions on product improvement. I, for one, will miss Tom, and I hope that he will land where he will be appreciated. Thank you Tom for having a vision and making it a reality for the many of us that love our Redwoods!

I didn't know Tom, but from all the heart felt discussion here, I almost wish the would stop production of Redwood now so there were only "Tom" Redwoods out there. I don't mind owning an orphan. Almost did with a Cambridge once, and it was a beautiful coach.

Didn't have the good fortune to actually meet Tom, but conversed with him via email late on a Friday night. How many General Managers provide that level of customer service.

He will be an extremely hard act to follow.

I am not a Redwood owner... yet, but have been trolling the site for a year now researching this line (I never buy anything without a lot of research and I greatly appreciate the info from members here!). I will be watching for more posts on how the management changes will be impacting the product line and customer satisfaction.

On the subject of the owners Forum, I was previously a Bayliner owner and they had a great owners forum. It has always been the standard for what I compare many forums to in the way of simplicity, available information and aesthetics.

Check out http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/forum/forum.php

They had great features like a members photo album, tech discussions, projects, classifieds, etc. The web host was vbulletin, http://https://www.vbulletin.com/ so there will be a cost associated. The members would make donations (photo album use required a $5 a year fee if memory serves). They would also get sponsors to help cover the annual costs (RV Dealerships, accessory vendors, etc).

No, I am not in any way affiliated with the company, but I thought it worth suggesting.

Thanks for the information and I hope to see you in a beautiful new Redwood some day. I looked at the site that you suggested and this fits into what we have in mind too.
