After reading several posts on how this product improved others tow vehicle ride (thanks for posting those), I took the leap and invested $1,249.95 plus shipping (purchased from eTrailer.com) as I was tired of all the bucking and chucking when we hit those numerous California bumps.

Our new unit arrived last week and I paid Benlo RV Service in Indio $200 to install it. They used a forklift to remove our standard pin box and they certainly used a lot of tools do to the install in about 2.5 hours. Our $200 was well spent.

Just south of Indio lies highway 86 which runs along the Salton Sea for a ways. We had just completed a round trip drive on old 86 two weeks previous going from Indio to Berrego Springs and back, and let me tell you the road in the area of Salton City is a very good test in places.

I'm happy to report that the new Tri-Glide improved our ride big time! Night and day! Even the vibrations over miles of expansion joints seem to improve. Bottom line, I would not own another 5ver without this way cool pin box.

As a bonus this pin box offers more clearance over my trucks side rails (I have added a rolling cover) which is great for really sharp turns where the standard pin box sometimes made contact.

If you want to consider one more mod ~ I have a 2012 F350 CC ShortBed 4x4 Diesel and pull a 36RL. Adding /replacing the sway bars with the Helwig BigWig swaybars front and rear and throwing away the stock wimpy steering stabilizer and replacing it with a Bilstein one makes another night and day difference. I have towed in 20-30mph winds after doing the swaybars and the rig was rock steady, also improved an already good ride and handling over dips. I also have AirLift airbags with the on-board compressor. As a bonus, the overall daily, unloaded ride improved 100%.

By an amazing stroke of luck I just purchased a used TriGlide at a rediculously low price. My son and I will be installing it this Thursday before we head up to the Finger Lakes Region for the holiday weekend. Can't wait to feel the difference.

You guys will love them! I had the 5th airborne before, but I believe this one has a lot more action and rides smoother, not to mention I was able to get rid of my slider because of the additional length.

I noticed Sunday the the level was about halfway down on the arrows and I had to stop and get air, grumbling something about maybe having a leak. The DW corrected me and said no, we just loaded all our stuff and now it's a whole lot heavier!!!

Tom, TrailAir website shows multiple models and a few different dimensions. My TrailAir unit installed by Redwood says model L05.

Before I made the purchase I called Lippert and asked them what I should be looking for. Since the used TriGlide was coming off a Bighorn fifth (Lippert frame) I needed to verify the Lippert pin box number. The seller was able to give that info to me, which I then verified with Lippert. Even so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Good research. Bet you're all set. Doesn't look too hard - especially if you own your own forklift :-).

I installed mine myself without too much trouble. It only took a couple of hours at the most.

#1 hitch up to the truck (take all the pressure off the hitch pin) and zap the bolts out with a strong air impact gun. You'll have to hold the nuts on the inside.

#2 disconnect the emergency brake and electrical wires

#3 pull the truck and pin box away and then remove the pin box from the truck hitch

#4 put the new pin box in the truck hitch and back under the trailer. use the air bags of the truck (if you have them) and the electric jacks on the trailer to realign the bolt holes. I uses a piece of steal rod to help align the holes.

#5 put the bolts back in place and reconnect the emergency brake and electrical lines.

Anyone noticed the up down movement of the pin box in relation to the bottom of the nose cap I measured the distance between the two and when I hook up it goes from six to five and a quarter my last trailer didn't move at all

I would have this checked out right away. I know several people that have had problems with the welds or gussets where the pin box is mounted to the frame. One, this was on a Carriage that was several years old, actually had the pin box go up through the bedroom floor while going down the road. The others just had to have gussets added, or welds repaired.
