We recently installed a TrailAir TriGlide pin box. Those of you that have this type of pin box, do you have to add air prior to traveling or does your pin box maintain air pressure. We have to add air prior to traveling each day. Let me know
Thanks

You should check it every time you go out and make sure it is to the top of the sticker on the shockwith the arrow. Outside temperature with change the pressure in the air bag.

I loose air in mine each time we take it out. I may connect a compressor to it direct.

John - I check it every day I connect, but to date have not had to add any air. Last time we were slightly below the mark so I will add air when we take it out in January.

Mine will require just a little air every couple of weeks.

Yep, I noticed after leaving the last campground where we stayed for about 3 weeks that the hitch needed air on the following trip.

Having had it on my previous 5er,
I found that pumping it up such that the arrow heads were showing was almost TOO much air...
it would take right @ 100 psi (which was the max psi according to Trailair)
and the bags would be hard as a rock...

When I heard others say that they put 55 psi, etc... I was surprised !

NOW, I will say that the bags on my 'old' one were at an odd angle and not nice and flat like the newer one, so maybe that had something to do with it...

depending on how much water you have in the fresh tank and the overall pin weight. The Redwoods tend to be a little pin heavy so they'll probably take more air than the other trailers. I usually have between 75-85 psi in mine.

No air needed for most of the season.

I only put 65psi in it for my RL. I started out adding air till the top of arrows showed (like everyone is initially told) but then I hit that bridge/overpass road seam on I-95 in VA... Yikes!

Mine is like Brad's, have to add air almost every day. Not much, but it will drop about a half inch or so. hadn't thought to check the shrader valve in the stem, think I'll do that.

My new tri glide air ride pin box is hitting the rail on the truck even when the it is properly inflated. I would guess my super glide sliding hitch needs to be raised about a 1/2 inch, any suggestions?

Can you raise the pin box? I had the dealer raise mine even though it wasn't quite intended to be. Otherwise I would need blocks under the front jacks to hitch up to the TV. But that would not change the distance to the rail I don't think. Edited by: Willranless

There are 2 ways to increase the distance between TV bed and RV. Raise the hitch height or lower the pin. Some hitches (like Trailer Saver) have a riser that you can put between the hitch and the hitch rails that will raise it if there isn't enough adjustment in the hitch itself.

the flex air pin box rides a few inches higher due to the Roto rubber bottom part.
