toilet flange replacement

I must replace the toilet flange in my 2014 36FB.
How do I remove the old flange? It is extremely tight which makes me wonder if it is glued in.

more then likely its a black plastic ABS that the glue isn't all that strong. Tap a flat blade screw driver beside the pipe it should have soft yellow glue visible in the joint . basicly your using the screw driver as a wedge , work your way around the entire pipe a few times going deeper each pass. it should split free. If it doesn't your going to need to take down the basement wall and get in there and cut a piece off and coupling new from there up. If it just cracked the bolt flange I think HD has repair kits for the flange in the plumbing section. ABS uses special glue check into what your using first. good luck

Thank you. Just when I think I know what's going on I get educated about a repair to the Toilet flange. One of the bolts has broken free of the flange edge.

You may not have to replace the flange. Our home toilet had the same problem, I got a flange repair bracket at Home Depot, it screws into the wood and sits above the existing flange and has the new slots that holds the flange bolts.

This link to HD shows the one I used:
