Steve, we just purchased an EZ air bed from Frontgate. Fully automatic and folds up into a suitcase. Operation is a one button push and it maintains airpressure all night long. Weighs 55 lbs. We have the queen sze but they have other models

Colonel...did you find the air mattress that came with the 36RL inadequate? That Frontgate is one fancy bed. I'm assuming the weight is due to the framework which is included with the mattress? Do you butt the frame/mattress right up against the sofa, or does it hang over the sitting area of the sofa...like the oddball mattress that came with the coach?Edited by: spindrift

Just checked it out on the web. Looks interesting. Does the Queen size fit OK in the lounge

Spindrift and Oriana, the EZ bed fits OK in the living room area of the 36FL, has about 5 inches on each side and the bottom of the bed to move around. The head of the bed is against the couch and we do not remove the cushions on the couch. Since we do not have a generator, nor washer and dryer and rarely move with more than 5 gallons of water in the fresh water tank the weight of the EZ bed is no problem. When we have guests for an extended period of time we leave the bed (in it's suitcase) stored between the two ottomans in our living room (we have a 36FL), it fits nicely there and store the bed linen and blankets behind the couch. When we are not having guests we store the bed in the basement storage. The bed works great, it is really just unzip the suitcase, plug it in, and hit the inflate switch, the bed unfolds itself, inflates and shuts itself off when finished, it also self deflates and folds itself up ready for you to zip up the case and place the bed in storage.. Is also monitors air pressure and automatically adds more air during the night if needed. It was a little pricey, $299, but if fits our needs as we travel a lot with our Grand Children and my wife's parents. You can also use it at home as an extra bed when needed. Recommend you visit the Frontgate website and watch the EZ bed video, it tells the story well.

Colonel...just to be clear, the bed pushes up against the sofa? It :does not rest on, or gain any of its support from the sofa.

Sorry, my head is a little foggy this morning...like most mornings.

Thanks - this will fit our needs perfectly, especially the doubling as a spare bed in the house. We were looking for something comfortable, but easy to inflate/deflate, as we have a number of friends wanting to stop in where ever we are on our travels. While currently no Grandkids to accommodate, we have been advised that they are being planned within the next couple of years.
