Slide/Jack Pump

Jacks/slides pump shuts off after five seconds. After five seconds of "cool down" the pump can be restarted via the auto level panel or the slide switches. The electrical connections at the pump are tight and the fluid level at the sump is on the line with the jacks up and slides in . Any ideas?

Not sure. I'd check my batteries and/or power supply.

X3 on the breakers, fellow RWer had that problem last winter & the dealer said it was the pump, WRONG, we ran the wire straight to the battery & added a heavy breaker.

Were is the auto reset breaker? In-line? Also to the voltage question from another member, voltage at the pump, when operating is about 12.3 - 12.6 volts.
I would like to see closer to 13+ volts however the batteries aging like me!

Thanks to all for your quick responses. I will follow when I return to the park.

I had to leave the lake this morning to meet our son at a KC hospital as his wife is expecting to deliver any moment. That will be eight grandchildren from our six children. Makes for great family get to gathers.

Bob, The auto reset breakers are located behind the batteries on the firewall. Should be 3 to 6 or so in there.

Thank you. That was where they were. The bus area appeared to have been sprayed with flat black paint making it difficult to spot the breakers. The 50 amp hydraulic pump breaker was replaced. All is good in RV land!

Has anyone attempted to replace a leaking oil seal on one of the leveling jacks, the one in the center of streetside has started leaking. I'm a year out of warranty & figure Lippert will want to sell me a jack when all it needs is probably a 50 cent o ring.

I asked the Lippert Rep at the Rally if they sold a rebuild kit for the leveling jacks...he said no they only sell replacement jacks. However, after the seminar, a guy told me that he found a hydradic shop that rebuilt one for him. You might call Tiara RV Sales/Service to get a price quote so you at least have a replacement quote.

If we could find out where Lippert gets the Jacks, we probably could get re-build kits as I doubt that Lippert makes the jacks, they just purchase all the parts and assemble them.

Take one apart and take the o-ring to a good parts store or hydraulic shop for a replacement. Someone should have them.

Love this forum. I had the same problem with slides/jacks stutter stepping while retracting. Replaced the 50AMP from the bar behind the battery, good as gold. Just wanted to say thanks for raising the question and providing the info

Buddy of mine had same issue with trim tab pistons on his boat... marina wanted a fortune, he found a hydraulic shop that fixed him up like brand new for almost nothing.. just the o-ring and some labour for R&R.
