There are still a lot of channels that have not upgraded to HD so I would imagine it would be some time if ever they upgrade to HD especially when the new 24K is there. Technology (live streeming) is moving so fast I wonder how long Blueray disks will be around

Channels that are not HD Dan ??? not sure which black and white ones you're watching (just kidding) but everything is digital/hd that we watch ...

and the thing that's hilarious is....
this discussion comes from a group that has DISHWASHERS in their RV's

All blurays are backward compatible,
so the kids LOVE it when Pop gets a new toy
That 60" tv is going to the stepsons house so when we go over there this Christmas Eve we can see A Christmas Story !

We usually don't purchase dvd's/blurays, but we do have small collection, most of which were purchased when blockbusters shut down around here!
the few I've tried look stunning when upscaled to 4k.

to get the best results go to http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10240 to get your HDMI cables.

From an Indiana farm boy who worked his way (over 52 years) up to become an electronics engineer, "What ever happened to speaking in english?". I even still use a flip phone!! My phone is for speaking to someone not sending text messages. Emails are for that function. All of the engineers, in the group from which I retired, used basic phones. No over priced smart phones for us. Can you say "conservative"?

I'm a carpet walker myself (as my son in law calls Engineers) and I would go back to a flip phone in a second if it wasn't for the fact my smart phone entertains me at those boring meetings.
