Shower glass breakage

Has anyone had any problems with the shower glass breaking? Our shower side panel broke into a million pieces and we can't figure out why. There wasn't anything in the shower to hit against it nor was there anything near the shower.

Any insights would be great.

Also, anyone had any problems with the central vac clogging up? Not sure how to unstop it.

I don't know about the shower but the vac should be an easy fix. Take down the service wall and you can see both ends of the hose for the vac system. A screw gun with #2 square bit will have the wall down in no time. There are only a dozen screws holding it up.

The glass for the shower is tempered glass and will break into a million pieces to minimize damage if you slip and fall into it. That being said because of the way it breaks you will never know what broke it. It could have been a few different things. There's an unexplained phenomenon called spontaneous breakage ( breaks for really no reason ) it could have been to tight in the opening to begin with, if it broke while towing it could have been a severe jolt like a pot hole. Like in my case either me or my wife forgot to lock the doors back before towing out. Like I said could be anything but probably not a warranty item.

On our 36RL they said the bathroom door handle would hit the glass if it ever opened, but I don't think it affects the side glass.

Shower head come loose??

The door was securely shut and the shower hose was secure as well. That is what puzzles us. We had it in for service on the ice maker and we took it out when we picked it up. I had thought maybe someone in service had hit it but there wouldn't be any reason for anyone to go in the bathroom.

Don't know if we will ever know!
