Shower

I know I saw this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Apparently on some units there is a hole in the back of the coat closet (covered by a piece of wood) that allows access to the shower valve. Mine does not have this hole.

If some one that has this would take measurements of the location and the diameter of the hole, it would help me a lot. Also, is there plenty of room behind the wall for me to use a hole saw, and what is there that I could hit?

Serious? I would have thought your floor plan was identical to mine except for the TV!

How did they hook up the shower in production without the hole? This is right behind the coat hooks in the closet by the entry.

Brad......If you look at the pictures I took at the factory tour, you'd see that all the plumbing is ran before the rest of the trailer is put together.

There was a discussion about this a few months ago but I can't remember who started the thread.

It was me - I replaced our shower faucets with warranty parts from Redwood and was very happy to see the hole.

Guess I need to look through the pics Dave. I would have thought the hole was standard, at least for inspection.

I think if someone is careful with a 4 inch hole saw, they can cut into that wall without a problem. The shower id rounded so we know there's a pretty good cavity back there. This little job might entail an adult beverage or 2.

36FL access to shower fittings

On the 36 FL we have a small shelf built in to the bulkhead between the bedroom and bathroom. Remove a few screws and it slides out to provide access to the shower fittings.

When using the hole saw watch out for the centering bit length. Maybe start the hole and then remove it and continue slowly.

I never thought to look behind the coat hook board. Me Bad. As usual, I was looking too hard and didn't think of the height difference between the floors. Thanks all.

On the 36 FB I would have to access my shower through the control panel, my water valves are on the same wall.
