I just noticed that I have a sewer hose storage tube under the 36 RL. Only to find that my Rhinoflex system does not fit in the tube. Do you have a suggestion for a brand that fits the storage tube?

Thanks

seems almost anything except Rhino flex fits. I have the Viper with the red lugs, and there are two others with red lugs. The economy red hose, and upgraded black hose, and the gray Viper. Only problem with the Viper is it doesn't collapse as tight as the red and black hoses, so I can only get 1 10' in the tube. I added as second tube for the second hose.

I am hoping to get some feedback on your "FAVORITE" sewer hose. We have the Rhino Flex for our camper, and it's a great hose, but it doesn't fit in the storage place in most rigs (and apparently not in the RW either). What hose/system are favorites out there? I see the Viper is popular. I want the best one, because... well, you know why. ;-) I know they will give us one at the dealership, and it will be that cheesy one that I will leave with them, saves me from throwing it away later.

I put a Rhino flex in ours, I just have to take off the ends. I actually added another tube so I can carry both a 10' & a 5' hose under there.

We have a 20' Valterra brand, heavy duty with a slip on fitting for the 90 threaded. It all fits in the factory tube.

WELL !!!!

We don't have a sewer storage system !!!

About to build one out of a 6" plastic fence post and plastic gutter as a sliding mechanism inside the fence post...

but, I'd rather have this -->http://store.lci1.com/sewer-hose-man...ble-p1296.aspx
like I had on my previous 5er... it was a hose storage and sewer boom / support and made it much easier to do the dirty ! always hooked up to the rv, and all I had to do was swing it out and hook up one end...
Redwood did it for a while, but not on ours

that's a good idea using a six inch fence post! then it doesn't matter what kind of hose you get it will fit!

Father in law used 6" PVC pipe with threaded end caps keeps it in place and no problem keeping it secure. Use the black rhino hose love the stuff!

I use just the Rhino Flex hose, but put on Presto Lite ends. Have used that setup since the Rhino Flex hose came out. I don't know why they don't make their own ends so they fit the regular sewer hose tubes.

I have the rhino hoses all you have to do is cut two of the "tits" off on the ends and it fits just fine. I have the factory installed hose tube and bought another one I mounted on the rear hitch.

I ordered a longer storage container and mounted it the same spot as the old one, then moved the original one to the side of the trailer frame for an extra shorter hose storage works great.

Not sure if there is a good length, most kits are either 15' or 20'. I currently have the Rhino-Flex, it is 15', and it has worked MOST of the time. I also have a 5' extension just in case!!

I use a plastic centipede thing, no problems. I've seen an aluminum version too, it works like an accordion, looks like it's hinged on both sides.

I use rhino too, I carry a 20', 10', and 5', to be sure! Use some PVC stands we built out of PVC and a chunk of rain gutter. A lot of time I don't use any stand with the rhino as long as the drain is down hill.

We use a slunky for sewer hose support. It is compact so helps with the storage situation, easily set up ,and curves if necessary.

We mounted a PVC tube onto the drag bar in the back of the camper. It holds another 20' of tubing. Be sure to mount it in front of instead of behind the drag bar, or you will knock it loose if it extends below the drag bar a fraction of an inch. Ask me how I know.

Fence Posts

I too, had to shave the tabs off the Rhino to get it to fit into the standard sewer storage pipe. So, I mounted 2 5"x5"x8" fence posts on to the frame.

To make sure the pipes extended below the fender skirting, I attached a 2"x2" aluminum tube to the frame first. Then I attached the pvc fence post to the aluminum tube.

The fence post has tops available. I attached them using springs. I attached the springs using cotter pins that I drilled in the post and cap.

Krylon makes a spray paint for plastic so I did the exposed pipe. Also, I drilled holes in the bottom for drainage.

Nice part about the fence posts is that they are big enough for all of the couplings to fit.

We're not full timers, so I use the "standard" (el cheapo) sewer hose. Because it's so crappy (no pun intended), I can actually get 15+' of it into the "boom" that came on the '12s and '13s. That's at least 10 additional feet more than came with it.

Some people complained about that sewer boom, but for convenience you really can't beat it. It's always connected and I'm glad I never have to lay on the ground when packing up or visiting the dump station. Seems like half the time it's raining when I do this anyway.
