Sewer hose storage
For those of us who fine it a pain to crawl under their trailers to access the sewer hose... And who also wants to fit more than 1 section ... I have a fix..
I made this for my other trailer and before trading it I tossed it next to the shed " just in case" ..
I went and got myself a section of aluminum pipe that is 4-1/4" ID and 4-1/2" OD... Mounted a galvanized slotted angle on both ends and mounted it under the rear hitch mounts...
It is about 3" longer than the frame and that leaves a perfect amount to put the end caps on..

That looks nice! What is that metal "T" handle looking gizmo?
The hardest problem I have is getting the caps back on the redwood tube and the camping world tube I added (they are identical). Its just the wrong angle to delicately avoid going to your knees, probably because it always takes both my hands.

I took 5/16" nut drivers and soldered 1/8" round stock to them to make a T handle , I then soldered them onto the 5" hose clamp so they are always attached.. a few turns and the rubber cap comes off and the stinky slinky comes out... I also drilled 1/2" holes in the bottom to allow any moisture to drain and to allow the hose to AIR OUT...

Curling the sewer hose into a storage tub in the bed of the pickup works for me.

I have to chuckle as I didn't even know that thing was under there it was hidden so well in almost an inaccessible place...
only when I had a leak and looked under the 38gk did I see it !!!
Had a big orange tub I used to keep all the 'yech' stuff in and so,
Ah HA, I can save some storage space and put the slinky in there...
took it off, slide the slinky in there and NEVER got the end back on....
it's still hanging as far as I know, but probably beat up from when I got mad and used a 10 lb mall on it

going to get a 8 ' piece of HD 5"X5" square Vinyl square fence post 21.00, 2 caps,2 hinges and pop rivets and big velcro latches, make some straps and fasten to the frame after i paint it black should be plenty strong,
And a couple vinyl pieces of gutter in the bottom for supports on the ground. cut to lenght fab up a couple square brackets custom fitted to frame rails drill a couple of hole run self tapperss in should hold 2 rails and 2 sections hose with fittings underneath

Got my sewer hose storage tubes installed, they work great.
Mounted one side to the frame, had the guys at the plant build me a bracket to extend the other side close to the edge of the outer wall and drop down some so the storage tubes have a slight slope down for rinsing out.
