Sewer Boom Question

I have a lightly used 2012 36RL with the sewer boom system. When i bought the RV i just thought big deal it swings out and you hook a house up and dump it. When i take the end cap of it i see no way to hook a conventional hose up to it. Does anyone have a pic of how the end of the boom should look? It just seems like i am missing something. It is a good thing i do not need to dump the tanks!

Titan Guy thanks for the quick reply. I see that your house appears to run within the boom instead of attaching to the end. Am i correct? I looked up into the boom but cannot see any type of house in there. Should i take the flex section off and look?

I copied TG's pic and circled the connection point below...
take the end of the flexible part next to the rv off,
run your stinky slinky THROUGH the boom and flex pipe,
and connect it to the sewer outlet,
then put the flex pipe back on and you have a permanent connection so all you have to do is swing the boom out,
put the end on and connect to the sewer...

I MISS mine from my previous 5er...

and have you found your spare sewer hose holder up under there as shown in the 2nd pic ?
it should be right behind your sewer boom if you have one...

This is what we use. If we need an extension, we use the coupler with the same type of hose.

Johnny I did not see the other tube. I will have to look for it. Was it factory installed?

Well, yes and no.... it was on our July 13 ordered, Aug 13 built, and Sept 13 delivered 38 GK...

I had heard others had one,
but until I got on my hands and knees looking for a leak, I had not seen it
it's the same brand as this:
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...er-black/60174

click on my pic below to zoom into a closeup...

it's mounted so far inboard on mine that it's basically unusable for me
had to use a wrench to unscrew the end and then almost didn't get it back on...

look right behind the sewer outlet up high on the frame right at the back of the tank... it's a black thing, on a black background, in a dark place

As stated before, hope that brown stuff is insulation and not dried 'stuff' (eeeeeeeWwwwww !)

We have the same hose holder under ours, but it is so far under there, it is very hard to access.
We do not use it, been thinking about putting a hose carrier under there that is longer and more accessible.

rob, was wondering if there is some kind of extension we could put on it to bring it out further, but then how do I get the hose out when it slides to the other end ?

Always leave a string tied to it ?!? it says the inside diameter is 4 13/32" so maybe get something bigger as an extension ??

I think I just found the perfect use for that compartment in the main back, above the hitch. That's a good sewer hose home.

I installed a sewer hose storage compartment attached to the rear "bumper" underneath the coach. purchased the "tube"from camping world and secured it to the bumper. works well and easy to access
