Satellite Receiver

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone uses the main house Dish satellite receiver box in their Trailer in place of the hopper.

Yep, we do. It is a dual receiver so it controlls 2 tvs, yet each is independent of each other. We are on a commercial account so don't know if this is available for a residential account.

What dish do you use with it? Also does it have the same features as if plugged in at home like multiple recordings? Thank you for the info

We use the hopper 3 and 2 joeys. Everthing works just like home. Use a dish 1000.2 on a tripod. Like the challenge of aiming the dish plus trees aren't an issue.

I added a Dish 211K receiver to my home account for $7.00 per month and use it in my 5th wheel with a Winegard Road-Trip Mini-Max dish. I get the same programming as on my home account. The only limitation is that the Winegard Road-Trip Mini-Max dish can only receive 1 satellite at a time so I can only use 1 TV at a time.

I still use a Dish on a Tripod, like to show everyone else in the park my aiming skills

I went with two Tailgater Pro antennas and Wallys. Overall very happy with them. Antennas are on roof in quick release mounts and I have a tripod for those rare times when I've got to take off the roof to get around trees, etc. overall cost was still a bunch less than a Winegard Traveler and I get all kinds of comments when people look at all the domes and stuff on the roof (we've got black fan covers and also a Winegard razor tv antenna. Coach looks like a mobile Comm site. Lol )
