RVLock keypad replacement;

We are wanting to replace our keyless lock as the current one in not working. I have replaced the batteries and it still isn't operating. Has anyone any information on installation instructions?

Scrap the keypad & order the key fobs. If you really want a new keypad I'm sure I have a brand new one I would make you a helluva deal on. The new one is #4 sent while under warranty that I didn't bother to put on, every time it got wet it wouldn't work, they sent me 2 key fobs that have worked for the last 2 1/2 years. I'm now like, I believe it was Vaughn/Piper Guy , I tell everyone that's our security system.

I agree with Travlin Texans, Go with the key fob. I'm on third keypad and it eats batteries.

Thanks for the reply, however I am not understanding exactly the replacement procedures for the 3.0 keypad? And I have even went to the RVLock website and they don't have any installation instructions there either?

Are you talking about the hockey puck key pad stuck on beside the door or the integrated key pad on the latch? If it's on the latch just call RV Lock & they will help you out, they are great to work with. If it's the hockey puck, just order key fobs while you have on the phone & forget about the key pad.

When we bought our 36RE it had the old keypad outside the door and I fiddled with it for quite awhile and never could keep it working. So I bought the new RV Lock online with the keypad built into the handle and came with 2 key fobs. I don't use the keypad on the lock, just the fobs and they are great. The old keypad is just stuck to the side of the RV so I just pried it off carefully and cleaned the area with goo gone. Love it.

I stole Piper Guys idea & left the old keypad on the side & tell everyone that ask that it's the alarm system.

I have replaced mine twice on my 2014 Redwood 36RL. I am down to just using a key since it never works properly. I live in mine full-time and have replaced the batteries every 5-6 months as required but it eventually wont unlock. Then I have to use the key. So...key it is from now on.

I replace my keypad twice and the current one just eats batteries. I quit using it. The keypads are junk. I do use the key FOB but wonder when it will quit.

Bruce - is yours the older style with the separate keypad next to the door ? If so, give them a call and they'll make a really good deal on upgrading to the new one with the keypad in the lock.
I changed mine almost 2 years ago and it works flawlessly . Change batteries once (I uses the flat 2032 batteries). Also comes with remote fob.
