RV Snap Pads

Installed these a few days ago. Really like the idea of a heavy duty jack pad permanently attached. No more boards to carry around hopefully! Has anyone else tried them? One thing ived noticed already the camper feels more stable. RV SnapPad | Worlds Only Permanent Jack Pads

They're nice...I thought about them...and passed. We just do too much boondocking and it's soooo rare to find a level site. I've become accustomed to hauling around 500# of leveling blocks.

I installed these on my 38RL after talking to a DRV owner who said it was the best mod he had made. Would highly recommend them, and they do provide more stability than metal pads on plastic or wood blocks.

We've had them for over a month now and love them. We stay at a resort that has a concrete site and we don't have to think about potential rust spots or other pads. Clever idea. We used a little dish detergent in water as a lubricant to get them on initially. We know several others at the resort that have ordered them as well after seeing ours.

I have been looking at them too. Have them in my Amazon "saved for later" cart. We will also be doing a lot of boondocking and I just wonder how they'll do in the desert sand or wet soils - if material will 'leak' down under the foot and get in between it and the pad? It seems as though it could build up under there and need to be cleaned out, or even cause them to fall off? Are they hard to get off? If not, what about some jerk stealing them while you're stopped somewhere, maybe inside the store getting groceries? Just thinking?? We currently use pieces of barn (horse) stall mats under the jacks and tires, keeping everything off the concrete and on rubber. It works great! And you can buy a 3/4" thick, 4x6 or 4x8 rubber mat for about $50 at any farm store and cut all the pieces you need. The Snap Pads cost about $175 for six! But, they are 'stored' on the jack - which would be nice...

They are tight enough to the metal pad that sand would have a hard time getting between them. I really don't think you need to worry about someone taking them. They take the weight of the trailer to install so they would not be easy to remove. We like them as they add an inch to the jack, a larger footprint on the ground and a rubber barrier between the the metal foot and the ground

They were difficult to snap on(the weight of the 5th barely snapped them in place) which in theory would also make them very difficult to remove. We've traveled nearly 3000 miles with them, and there is no indication they're loosening. They have a very tight fit and little else will likely migrate into any voids.

Sounds good! Maybe I'll go for it and push the buy button... they've been in my cart for a long time I'll just keep the pads that go under our tires.

Agree with Woodman and Shane. It takes lowering the 6-point to snap them on; they fit tight and won't come off without some intentional and creative effort. They also have grooves in the top that sheds moisture or debris easily.

Well unfortunately our Redwood was no match for the Texas storm last night. Big tree came down through the middle and totaled it.... Wife says our camping days are over.

Oh no! Happen to my buddy, a few years back when his was parked under a shelter. Ironically, the Redwood was the offending tree in his case.

Now you get to order a new one!

Sorry to hear about the damage but it sounds like you both are safe and that's what really matters. RVs can be damaged in storms but so can houses.
