I am surprised no one has answered this. I have traveled through the Denver area a fair amount, but not with an RV. I hope someone here can help.

Have a look at Clear Creek RV park in Golden Co. I just looked at a satellite view and it looked pretty good. My criteria is: no trains, no airport, need to have a body of water very close, fairly small in size good, freeway access with out being on top of it. This seem to meet most of my criteria. As I looked through countless reviews on this place all said it was a little older of an RV park but it was very clean and kept up with fresh paint. This is a pulse for me. About the only complaint was that some people has reservation problems. I really hope this helps.

They are few.
Barr Lake RV park on I76 Northeast of Denver.
Pepper Pod RV park in Hudson, about 8 miles farther than Barr Lake on I76.
If you are an Elk, the Westminster Elks has RV spots. Some 50 amp mostly 30 amp.
Prospect RV Park in Wheat ridge.
Clear Creek as stated above.
There is one south on I25 in Monument.
A few other ones around.
Google

No recommendation on any. We have stayed at the Elks a couple times.

thanks for the few answers I just might be moving for work and they want me to be in the Denver area, Aurora ETC.. just looking out for good time and good views after spending 2 years in rock springs I'm ready to see some green fields and nicer scenery. we are from Montana and moving here has been a cultural and scenic shock for both of us.

Wish I could help, but never tried to look here at home. (Wierd to say, because I'm actually having breakfast in Rock Springs this morning, but I'll be home in Denver by noon.)

I lived in Aurora for 14 years and can't think of a place in aurora. There is the Flying Saucer on Hampden though.

I don't think Cherry Creek would work for him as he will be there for an extended time.

Ah thanks . It was a rush trip.

You probably aren't going to find anything in the heart of Denver, and if you did, you wouldn't want to stay there unless you enjoy grafitti, but there are some outlying places that are fairly nice - Loveland, Longmont, to the north, some to the south, all along I-25. It would really depend on where you are going to work in Denver Picking the wrong side of town can mean a 40-60 minute commute each way to go 25 miles.

Up north, this one I drive by and looks nice:

Loveland RV Resort - Home

and this one looks like they take full time- closer to the highway and close to RVAmerica so I would end up always looking for a new RV If that isn't bad enough, the truck stop is known nationally for their giant cinnamon rolls! 1 review and it was bad, but you'll have to be the judge.

Location, JC RV Retreat, Johnstown, Colorado

There are a half a dozen others up that way, a little more off the highway.
