Rotating Tires

Is there a safe way to use the Level-Up system to rotate tires or is it best to have the professionals do it?

(searched but didn't find threads/posts about this)

I will never jack all four of mine off the ground at the same time again. I was changing to four new H rated and the rear axle drop down and forward, binding it. Had to get service out to get it back in place. You can only rotate front to back on the same side, they should wear even with our suspension system.

You can rotate your tires with the jacks. I had all 4 off the ground for a couple of days last fall while I was working on the bearings and rotating the tires. last year at the rally, they said each jack was strong enough to support the trailer by itself.

Be aware that when lifting the trailer off the ground, the suspension does pop and make noise while the weight is being lifted off them.

When I had my bearings serviced that's what the dealership did. They lifted all four tires off the ground at once.

Mine actually flipped around after the pop to where the rear tire was almost touching the front tire. there was no way to swing it back without at least 2 air jacks. The service man has been doing this for years and never seen this happen.

This is similar too ours, the back swivel swung all the way around and actually touched the front side of the swivel arm. when I let the levelers down it stayed in that position and would not drop back into place. If it happens to you you will know what I went through. Wish I would have taken a picture. If you get it high enough the weight will make it happen, not counting the tension on the springs pushing down against it.

This will eliminate any problems with weight, brakes or swinging axles. If I had only knew what I know now. I still will make everything right with my Redwood and still be under what a DRV Mobile Suite cost.

I am still new to the Level Up System, my question is when the 5er is leveled after pressing the Auto Level on the Level Up Keypad, what do I press on the keypad to raise the 5er up higher either put more weight on the jacks / off the axles or even high enough to remove the tires?

Scroll through to "manual" then you can do whatever needs done. Right is the side your door is on & left is of course the other side & it will raise/lower all 3 jacks on that side. Front only operates the landing jacks & rear operates the 2 mid & 2 rear jacks.

Can you raise all 6 jacks at one time after leveling is complete?

NO! Not recommended unless your hooked up to TV & I don't understand why you would want to?? You can raise/lower right or left individually, but not all at once. Auto retract will raise all 6 after you hook to your truck.

Do you mean "raise" the trailer by "lowering" all the jacks at once?

ok, because you asked about "raising all the jacks at one time" which would lower the trailer. Hence the comments about falling over and being hooked up to the Tow Vehicle.

As Rob_fla has asked, how did you go about this Dave? I assume you raised alternate sides of the RV a little each time until all 4 tires were off the ground? I'll consult the manual but wondering how you went about it. thanks.

First I lowered the rear jacks and then the front. The beauty stands tall

Hi Folks, First timer here, (okay I'm confused) before I attempt it...what are the steps/procedures in lifting my RW to rotate the tires and/or repack the wheel bearings...??? Should the TV be attached? And/Or should I have the RW level and then 'manually' raise one side then the other...??

I just auto leveled mine, then took a small bottle jack, and lifted each wheel at the axle.
Don't know if it is the best way. ?..but seemed fine
