Residential fridge water lines??

Ok , who can tell me where to find the water cut off/turn on valve for the ice maker/water in the door on my 16 38RL ?? I have crawled under trailer... Ran a flashlight on top and the 2 sides of the fridge with no luck...
I am not looking to pull the entire unit out just to turn the water on and off am I ?? The manual does not tell me....

Can't be 100% sure, But I would assume it is under your kitchen sink like older ice maker and Dishwasher supply lines are. Probably a 1/4 valve. Hope this helps.

From what I've read in an earlier post the shutoff valve is WAY up under the kitchen sink and is a bit of a challenge to get to. I have the residential fridge like you & this has been on my bucket list to shut the valve off. We don't drink campground water or use the icemaker (bring bagged ice) and don't want to run the risk of a potential leak(s).

Ours is located under the kitchen sink of our model. You might have to push some water lined back out of the way to see the valve.

I have the 16 38 RL and mine is located under kitchen sink. It is up near the top of water lines. Hope this helps.

To All.... Thank YOU ! It was in fact up under the kitchen sink! And I was glad to see that it is closed... Like stated before.. We do not plan on drinking campground water as we have always pack water bottles from Costco... And we were chatting last night about ice and had came up with the idea of getting bagged ice and dumping it in the maker ...

Yes, it's easy to get to and is a 'normal' little saddle valve...

now u need to drain the line so it doesn't freeze when it turns cold like some have...

What about winterizing the fridge ? I can only ASSUME that at some point during the post assembly checking that the ice maker and water to the door were tested ? Maybe not ? do y'all use the pink stuff , or the air method on appliances ?

Pink stuff. You can run the fridge until the antifreeze starts to come out the water dispenser and the icemaker. Ian

Cmon Jonnyboy - that is a saddle valve for copper - no way are they used on the RV Pex lines! Don't confuse the guy...

Look for something more like this

ya wish I could help you on winterizing that residential fridge, but I don't have a clue. Our Norcold has outside panels and its pretty easy to disconnect the ice maker line from the solenoid and pump pink through it, or flush it in the spring.

I have the water filter and I've always had beautiful ice from campground water - guess what I don't know will kill me eventually

Ours is double filtered with a water softener in between & makes Crystal clear ice cubes. DW doesn't drink water from the faucet, but I do all the time, sometimes it doesn't taste too good but mostly it's alright.
