I will post up some pics of what I find and fix.
I wasn't sure how much I needed, but plan on getting down a good run. Have to go back a bit from the seam since the caulking that they painted right over is splitting and peeling. Not sure other than aesthetics why they painted the caulk. Also replacing two of the slide seals as well.

I spent two years replacing slide seals - nothing I could find for a sealant would actually stick to the rubber. I stripped and replaced sealant (all recommended products) over 5 times and was ready to pull my hair out. I stopped in a Redwood dealer and he said all he ever uses on any brand RV is Geocel 2300 MHRV (motorhome & Recreational vehicle).

All OEM - MFG. Housing/RV Products : 2300 MHRV Sealant

Perfect! no issues since. It is a manufacturer product so as hard to find as Alpha products, so I have to search to find it. Geocel will tell you Proflex is similar and far more readily available, but it did not work on my seals, and was actually harder to get off the paint than any of the other sealants.

On the top of my dinette slide, the rubber seal on the rig itself won't stay on, nothing seemed to work and it split, stuck to the slide, etc. There is a lip that you attach the seal to, might be possible to slide the seal on as well. Did you use that Geocel to hold that seal to the lip? Tired of climbing on the roof to attach the seal before closing up the slide.

There is a hard plastic rail screwed onto the wall that is integrated with the wiper seal, that the D seal slides onto.

It has a track on the top and bottom. Once it is slide down the rail the full length, they put two screws in the end, one on each end to keep it from sliding, then the weather exposed side gets a bead of clear sealant between the wall and e rubber seal which is what really holds it in place.

Without the seal sticking, the D seal on mine would actually rip from the and screws and slide back, and when I parked it would be flapping off the back, partway sticking out of the slide. It actually damaged my paint.

That is exactly the same problem I have now. Have the replacement D seal ready to go. The mess that is above that rail is what I am cleaning up. I guess they thought the more silicone you put on it the better. So you used the Geocel to close the weather side gap after putting the new D seal in?

Yes. I wish I had a picture, but didn't get the camera out with my fingers all covered in sealant. Once the D seal is slide along the track into place, there is a gap between the D seal and the wall. That is where I ran the bead, just like the factory did. Unfortunately they ran theirs before the paint, but the clear shows pretty well.

I did mine where I could leave slides out for a couple of days. If you have to bring them in and the caulking hasn't cured, it compresses it and doesn't look nice when it dries.

Ironically, this picture was on the trip home from my annual inspection that cost $300.

Looks like mine coming back from the beach. Grainger has the Geocel, grabbing a tube on the way home from work today. My seal left a scratch in the window and not the paint.

Buddy, do you have this roofing system? We are interested in this some day. We saw a RW at an exit here locally and the roof was noticeably white, it made me wonder if it had this roof system. Hard to believe you "never have to get on your roof again" !! What a joy that would be.

Yes I've had it for over a year. It is white and clean looking. Cooler as well. They did it at my house in Baton Rouge.

My roof is bright white. In fact the caulking is near ultra white. I thought that was an Alpha thing compared to others.

I have seen Coloradolivin's rig right next to mine at the Dealer and his roof was tan, but I've never seen another like that.

Brad, my Alpha roof is tan. Couldn't find the tan Alpha sealant when I did my Winegard Trav'ler so I had to buy the white. Oh well, better than a leak right?

Ahhh Brad, I think we have reserved spots there at Disney World !! My first roof was tan, and my second roof is tan too Service tech said "Oh yeah, Dicor is all we use." Even RW on the dealer side said Dicor is just fine. My local RV gal is going to get some dicor in tan, did not even know it came in tan. Nonetheless, at this point, whatever gets the job done.

hahaha that might be my new name for it

When we were parked side by side in queue, I climbed up on my roof to check it for hail damage. That was when I noticed yours was a distinctly different color and I was shocked. I just thought they were all white.

When we were shopping I went home and was looking at pictures and I suddenly started getting nervous it was black on top based on the paint. Black would have been unbearable on these. I ran back to Disney World to take a look at one of theirs and saw it was white on the top surface.
