If remote controlled it's the rv lock as the bauer is not remote controlled...

give them a call and see if they can assist...

I guess I don't understand what you mean by checking power at the bottom of the door..
We have a 2012 RL with the RV Lock with outside keypad and two Key Fobs. The Lock mechanism that is in the door is powered by 2 or 4 AA Batteries, accessable by removing several screws on the inside of the door/lock assembly. The outside Keypad uses a Coin Cell battery.

Some of the first RWs had "Southco" locks which are hard wired to the coach & controller is mounted in a hollowed out portion in the bottom of the door.
I understand all the confusion as so far RW has used 3 different brands of door locks, Southco, RvLock, & Bauer & now a revised version of RvLock.

Danny.........the Southco is what I have on my 2012 36RL with two key fob remotes. The locks and remote fobs have worked perfectly for over 3 years.

We will be running a Holiday special on our new RVLock v4.0 Keypad handle. We are also looking for a couple of members to help sample and review this new v4.0 keyless RVLock handle. Like us on Facebook for a chance to be the lucky RVers and/or get a coupon for the Holiday special. It will be a Redwood Owners group special.

Mine also has a Southco lock. I had to order a new lock as mine quit. Just changed the handle, not the controller. Southco is at (610)459-4000.

I received one of the lock sets from RV lock and it was an easy install on my trailer. WOW what a difference. These folks are great people and they have a hell of a good lock.

James - I am 2nd owner of a 2013 26RL and my rvlock has not worked since the day I purchased it. I have replaced batteries but it still does not work. Do I need to replace the remote keypad or the doorlock or both?

Bill - give RV Lock a call. Great guys to work with. They have an updated version that replaces the original and works great (my original on my 2013 sucked too)

I can't remember what the upgrade cost was but I know it was reasonable. New one comes with 2 remote key fobs and is flawless. Batteries lasted about a year and it gave a different beep tone before going dead to let you know it wanted new ones.
